That is very similar to the Eberspacher controller 👍🏻

Yeah. Much better design

Sorry but what is the difference between temperature and thermostat mode? Both of the sto pthe combustion process once the temperature is reached, I don't understand
@vfast17 ай бұрын
TEMPERATURE MODE: Heater will maintain set temperature by reducing the heating power, without shutting off the combustion process. * The temperature mode for Air 2D 12/24V and 4D 12/24V heaters in the 6355, 6350, 6260, and 6265 series versions have a new algorithm. In this mode, the heater acts normally by lowering power when it gets near the set temperature. However, if it goes past the temperature setpoint, the heater will turn off and wait until the temperature drops by 3 degrees below temperature setpoint before starting again POWER MODE: Heater will operate constantly at set power level. HEAT + VENTILATION: Heater will operate till the temperature is reached 1°C above the set temperature, shut off the combustion process and start to ventilate till the temperature drops 5°C below the set temperature. When temperature drops, heating starts again. THERMOSTAT MODE: Heater will operate till the specified temperature is reached then shuts off the combustion process and ventilation. After the temperature drops by specified degrees heating will start again.

Great video Lee I’m like you I’ve got the old controller thinking of getting the Comfort Controller I use the phone app to control my heater do you know if the CC will work with the phone app cheers mick
@SpyderLEE9 ай бұрын
I didn’t know you could control these heaters from your phone. Unless you have that modem add on thing with the SIM card and it sends the heater messages?
@Poppykool19 ай бұрын
Yep that’s what I have thanks for message back 👍🏻

Great vid. Interested in doing the same. I’d love to have an option to put the heat on for a set time and automatically turn off. Is this what you were showing at about 16:45?
@SpyderLEE10 ай бұрын
Yes. You set the runtime and it switches off automatically 👍

Ahh! That’s the one and only feature I want. Expensive upgrade … but I’ll have to think about it.
@SpyderLEE10 ай бұрын
Yeah not cheap is it. It is much better than the old one though. I think all the new planar heater kits come with it included.

How long does the heater take to warm the van from 2 degrees c to 22 degrees c if u don’t mind me asking ?
@SpyderLEE9 ай бұрын
I don’t really watch the temps but from walking into a cold van to comfortable it’s about 10 minutes, then 15-20 minutes it’s really warm

Hey Lee, I know you said you don’t know much about the chinese heaters but is it mainly the controllers that determines the features ie the ventilation without the burner firing up, if so then do you think these controllers could work with a basic Chinese diesel heater? Love the vids 😊
@SpyderLEE10 ай бұрын
Not really thought about it to be honest. They most likely would be able to control them but I’d have to see a circuit diagram.

I’ve got one, with that controller too and think it’s a game changer as a combination!

Been using mine for work all week. The controller works exactly how I wanted it to 👍
