Aghhhh, makes me miss my MK7 GTI. Its motor seized up over 2 months ago, and it’s sitting in my garage waiting until I get a new long block for it next year. I have big plans for it, as it went from being my daily to now it being my “fun weekend/track/canyon” car, as I have another car as my daily now. Plans are new long block, Wavetrack LSD, and all new engine bolt-ons (FMIC, boost pipes, TIP, DV, IM, DP, etc.). It currently has IS38 on WMI, but thinking eventually going IS20 hybrid (mostly for street usage as it boosts sooner than IS38 hybrids), getting rid of WMI, and going E-blend. I have the Dieselgeek Sigma 6 SSK, which I love, but man, your Coolerwerks SSK system is making me want that so bad now! Mixing that with the Dieselgeek Sigma 6 would be amazing! So many plans but I’m going to be so broke next year now haha

I don't particularly like the sound of Golf Rs /GTIs, but yours actually sounds really good to be honest. Brands Hatch charges far too much for a track day, considering how small the Indy layout is. You're far better off going elsewhere.

You fitting the coolerworx shifter on this car gave me the bug to upgrade to it and then go stage 3. I finally got my car dyno'd and it hit 502hp a few days ago. I will be picking up the iabed sump and rear main seal but I've decided to convert my car to a dq500 gearbox from the manual (knee problems means I have too).

Naw. Yes, it would be faster with those, but it would be a lot less fun! What’s the purpose of being so fast anyways? You’re not getting paid to race nor are you getting paid to get track times. To me, if you are just a Joe Schmo auto enthusiast, like 99.9% of us, who like to race and track for fun, yes, it’s fun to buy mods to make the car more capable, but it’s also important to keep the car as fun as it possibly can be. And a sequential is not as fun as a real manual. 🤷‍♂️
