If you could go back and do it all over again, would you have chosen a DSG over the manual? I’m in the market for a golf r soon and I can’t decide. I’m going to test drive both. I know for a manual I’d have to upgrade the clutch before I can even add power mods and tune it, which is fine. But I have heard the manual ones have crank walk issues which makes me hesitant to get one.

Curious if the M K7 and MK7.5 GTI and R have the Dual Injection fuel delivery or just DI that we get in the USA? Carbon Build up on the intake valves is an issue here. Here in the USA 100k on a VW people walk away from them, but in the UK seems they put allot more miles on them with good luck, so I am not sure why that is? Brand Bias? Or you guys just get better versions of the same car?

they do have MPI, up until about mid 2018 when they introduced the GPF, then they became DI only.
