We’ve been a bit taken aback by the reaction to our last video. Thank you so much for your support. We will continue to try and keep it real, and will get better at making these. That’s a promise. Nige & Diane.

Nice video with good simple explanations... I found if parked up with no one else about I could start the van up and run for 15-20 mins which would boost the leisure batteries quite a lot with BtoB. I also had the heating attached to the main tank.. best idea for sure..
@thisisvanlife27127 сағат бұрын
We do run the van for a while too, just to pick up a little boost.

Lovely videos! And lots of beautiful shots of places that have happy memories for me. The dogs are always upstaging you, though 😊. My only complaint is that our spaniel now wants to know why she isn't allowed on the bed in *our* van...

Yes dogs and beds has always been a weakness! But the do help to keep us warm.

Hi guys another very informative vlog, just wondered how you get on with cleaning the 2 Springers after a muddy walk and grooming etc, we’ve got a motorhome along with a Springer and we all know how they love the water and mud

If you use heating oil in your diesel heater you will save a fortune over the winter months. It does actually burn hotter and cleaner also (kerosene)
@thisisvanlife27122 күн бұрын
I’ve plumbed our diesel heater feed into the main vehicle fuel tank.
@welshbeekeepers82752 күн бұрын
@thisisvanlife2712 That's all well and good as you have saved yourself the hassle of filling the heater tank, but bear in mind heating oil is a third of the price of highly taxed road fuel. The savings can be considerable if you are living in the van and using the diesel heater regularly

Just beautiful, thanks for sharing. Did I miss the name of the waterfall? I’ve tried to look up the Loch but I’m probably spelling it incorrectly. Love the dogs, they are very entertaining in your videos.
@thisisvanlife2712Күн бұрын
Thannk you. The waterfall and location is called Grey Mare’s Tail and the Loch above that feeds it is called Lock Skeen. We’ll worth a visit

Great video guys, your ice walking spikes look great. how do you find those?
@thisisvanlife27122 күн бұрын
Thank you. The spikes were great, particularly for descending on the compacted snow and ice. We took them off as we got lowers and back onto the rocks www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08SKCMWRM/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_8CGJ014RDJS3TTCK7HT1

Everything you are doing looks right. Apart from living in such a cold climate. I found problems with condensation but likely you will have very low levels of humidity ... Cold and Dry. Its a shame there isnt a quiet way of extracting power out of the diesal. I have never seen a 3 kw sized diesel gen set. I dont like petrol for fire risk. That said mosern gen sets are so quiet they sound like matress inflators. Peace from Australia.

Also I would like to have seen more long shots of your vehicle since i was only imagining what it was like. I ,y self have an 8.5 metre long truck so i have plenty of room.
@thisisvanlife27122 күн бұрын
We’ll try and include more shots of the van in future videos. Our diesel heater is tapped into the main fuel tank and that gives us a good supply of heat.

Great tips 👌 just out of topi did you weight your van ? Thanks
@thisisvanlife2712Күн бұрын
We haves weighed the van after conversion, but as an ex ambulance were plated up to 4005kg, so we have a little more head room than most
