“The boy and those who followed him claimed victory as they drove Klaus from the town, but as they cheered and celebrated, a foul stench and laughter began to spread across the valley - for in his persistence and wisdom, plaguefather Nurgle claimed that which Tzeentch had failed to foresee; the people of the village who had fought for freedom found their skin breaking out in boils and their eyes sprouting spores, children cried, many died, but the boy remained untouched... Nurgle had better plans for him, and had the villagers do his wicked bidding. The boy was brought to the centre of town, and tied to the festive tree. As he wailed and cried, the trees bark and branches began to writhe and entwine around him, until the boys muffled wails were drowned beneath the plague trees hide”. And so the town swapped one festive tradition for another, where instead of a festive tree with gifts of material goods, the townsfolk dances around a tree that gave other “gifts” as decided by the plaguefather

And all of those soldiers who valiantly reclaimed their freedom enjoyed a glorious celebration with the grateful town folk. One month later, all of them had died from a horrible virus...except for one boy. Why was he spared? No one knows. Yet, in generations to come, people from other towns all grew to fear the new Satan Clause that had been created on that fateful day.

You are entitled to your opinions and free expression but I think I’m going to have to unsub. The anti-lockdown rhetoric is disappointing and your talk of “red-pilling” is disheartening. I’m not comfortable supporting those attitudes. You’ve been a big help to me, especially the quote in your Q&A video about motivation vs. discipline. Thanks for all that and I wish you well in the future.
@BardsCraft
@BardsCraft 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I just want to tell you that you are making lots of projecting and quick assumption. I'm not anti-lockdown for preventing diseases. The political environment is so de-humanizing or demonizing today. Thats what I believe happened in your case - you heard me saying something that does not exactly match your opinions, then you put me in the same group with radical political thinkers and conspiracy theorists. I hope this is at least a bit enlightening. -Lukas
@brandonblewett9549
@brandonblewett9549 3 жыл бұрын
@@BardsCraft Hey Lukas, thanks for your reply. I had written another reply but I didn't think it got to the point well enough so let's try this one. It is not my intention to make projections or quick assumptions - I am just going by the information I have available, which is your statement in the video and your comments. You are obviously attempting some degree of humor but I can't be sure how much is humor vs. your actual beliefs. I am glad to hear you say that you are not anti-lockdown for preventing diseases. I am a healthcare professional in the US where covid is still very bad, so preventing further spread until we can get people vaccinated is very important to me. From your statements in the video, as well as some of your comment responses it seemed that you were anti-lockdown. Hopefully you can explain your position on this a bit more so it is more clear. Perhaps there is a different political context to the lockdowns in Finland vs. the United States. I would be happy to learn about that. The other topic of concern was your use of the "Red Pill" meme in comments and liking comments saying the same. Here in the US, that language has a very negative connotation, and a lot of the radical political thinkers and conspiracy theorists you talk about use this imagery. I don't mean to jump to conclusions, but perhaps you should be a bit more careful about the language you use if you don't want people to lump you in with those groups. I want to end this comment by saying I have followed you for a long time and always really appreciated your videos, which is why I felt passionate enough to comment in the first place. As I said in the other comment, your Q&A session about "motivation vs discipline" was something I placed a lot of value in. We obviously agree about a lot of things and have some similar values and philosophies. I don't believe in demonizing or dehumanizing people with different perspectives at all - human rights and personhood should always be respected. I do however think that it's totally natural for your beliefs to be challenged and good-faith discussion is helpful for all. Since I respect you I thought it was important to challenge your statements in hopes that you could better explain your positions. I hope this is clear and helpful. Thanks for taking the time to read and interact. Best, Brandon

@@brandonblewett9549 If I'm not mistaken, Finland had and still has a wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better response to COVID-19 than the US (that's not saying much). I know *nothing* about Finland's political climate or their lockdown measures, but in December they had spikes of a few hundred COVID cases. I assume Lukas is disgruntled for possibly being under lockdown despite COVID being a very minor thought in Finland's mind right now. But yeah the talk of redpills is a bit jarring, coming from someone who used to be "based and redpilled" but fell out of that rabbit-hole completely and ended up on the exact opposite side of the political spectrum (which drastically improved my happiness and overall life quality as a whole).

@@BardsCraft yeah, its fantasy, but you're obviously parodying/attacking lockdown/shelter in place orders,,which are literally saving lives here in the real world. And also attacking the idea of using taxes (people's own money) to pay those same people back to survive during a difficult time. Your framing is very clearly saying its wrong and evil. You're doing so by using talking points from some extremely harmful groups and philosophies (mostly fringe rightwing that literally kill people) I dont know what to say other than... that's disappointing. This community has always been positive, and looking to lift up not tear down. This video, and your viewpoint are very clearly against that.
