I use Denatured Alcohol mixed in with my water solution. Strong scent but it works way better than the ethyl alcohol in antifreeze

I need to start doing videos. I did 13 hours of traditional poling in 10 degrees today 😆 . Some auto zones, subways, 2 car dealerhips with big glass, 2 houses nothing too big. But total of 18 businesses and 2 houese. Gotta move quickly. I was outta town so gotta make extra for the boss. I use the same glove setup and the moerman for high windows as well. No detailing. I also starting using Sorbo 45 on level✋️ work. It only is awful on small framed glass. It's smoother in the cold. Sometimes I have to switch back to my moerman setup. Using that negative angle at ground level has helped incredibly as well with my efficiency. Great tips always👌 👍

Really enjoy these vids. Thanks for making them! Although hard going, I love working in challenging conditions! Not so good earnng wise as everything takes a bit longer but great for being out in nature and the elements. Would it be worth adding a touch of fairly direclty on the applicator with the screenwash for better slip? I work daily with a Gardiner back pack on the handy folding sack truck. Go "Hoseless" Pete, it's so much tidier and less faff. What I mean by that is have internal hose about 3-5 inches out the bottom of your pole then a Male EZ snap. Then just connect at the bottom when you need to use and disconnect when finished. Makes for better storage too. Best wishes & Happy Christmas!

Very welcome pal! Glad you enjoyed it. 😉 If you use dish soap in very cold conditions it tends to freeze very quickly so I stop using dish soap until its nearer 0°c or above. Yeah I should do that with my hose your absolutely right. I used to have something from exceed innovations that was like that on my gardiner poles but haven't got round to doing it on my Unger poles yet 😅. Stay safe out the my friend and keep squeegee sling'n 😎

Just like babies theyre growing fast :P And well we just stop working on weather below -3 to -4 Celsius when it starts to freeze barely ever we touch antifreeze or similar things. And yes cheapo antifreeze sucks i got some antifreeze in my car obviously rn thats one of these cheapo ones but when thats used up finally ill switch to Antifreeze from SONAX which has been getting awards for multiple years now and its pretty much available in many builders barns right now as well so easy to get, it also has glycerine in it that helps preserving rubber and preventing it from skipping on glass

I use hot water straight from my taps at home. It's set to 45°c. Obviously by the time you get to the job it's cooled down a bit in the bucket but I also fill a 25L drum with hot water and that stays pretty warm for about 3/4 of the day. Hope that helps you

We have most clients on a monthly rota so it's a different setup than you guys in the USA as you have clients once or twice a year right? So that's a bit more tricky. You could aim to get more storefronts if possible and make them regular clients 🤔

Just purchased isopropyl (I think that’s the name) this week. I found WCW recommend 600L pure water to 1L of alcohol. But that doesn’t feel enough. What proportions do you think would be better for water fed? That was freezing up in Yorkshire at minus 2😢😢😢
@TradMan2 жыл бұрын
I had to use - 20°c car screen wash completely straight the last few days but it was minus double figures. I would try doubling that up. Try 2L in and see if that works, a lot of it is trail and error, you'll eventually find the right ratio for you.
