Winter Wonderland : An Unforgettable Sledge Ride from Preda to Bergün

Last week, we visited the most beautiful sledge run in Switzerland. As the Albula Mountain Pass is closed in the winter, they turn the road from Preda to Bergün into an incredible sledge run. You arrive at Preda's top train station, rent a sledge, and go 8 km down along one of the most beautiful roads following the iconic Bernina Express railroad.
Sledding under viaducts, being bypassed by Bernina Express, all while enjoying outstanding mountain views. Do you know more beautiful sledge runs?

I love sledding. This run is on my bucket list. Somehow we haven’t made there yet. It’s just a little too far from Lucerne for a day trip with little kids. Great video Jaroslav!

Thanks for your kind words! ✨ We stayed at my friend's place close to Samedan, so we could get there in less than 20 20-minute train ride. Yup, from Zürich or Luzern, it's pretty far to get there. In our case, it is a 3-hour train ride, so it is not an easy day trip, but it is still doable. But I recommend it - it's a beautiful sled run with probably the best views ever, especially if you are lucky and get Bernina Express on the viaducts above you... 🚂

Thanks a lot, Sylvia! ✨😀 I didn't see any signs prohibiting the walk along the path - it's a road, so it's quite a wide path. Alternatively, you can walk and have the sled behind you 😀 But the official website mentions that dogs are not allowed. 😢🐶 www.berguen-filisur.graubuenden.ch/en/overview/tours/805-preda-bergun-sledge-run But I will be surprised if they will not make an exception for you and Rasta! 👍🏻 Just found out that walk is not allowed 😬 tickets.rhb.ch/en/pages/sledging-preda-darlux-berguen
