Lauren after my Mom passed my brother and I both have cookbooks they she got in 1957 for bridal shower gifts.The awesome thing is it not only has my Mom's handwriting on certain receipes but also has my Grandma's.❤

My sisters daughter in law gave her a wooden cutting board with one of my mom’s recipes on it in her writing. I think she did it on her cricket? It’s beautiful and she has it in a special place in her kitchen.

What a beautiful idea of your mom sharing her recipes in a cookbook for you! I hope that selecting her recipes and preparing them will bring you wonderful memories and also comfort you! We lost our mom a few months ago and I found comfort preparing her recipes for side dishes for Thanksgiving dinner. The Winter Wonderland of birch trees is stunning! The new trend this year on You Tube is tying velvet ribbons on Christmas trees. Excited to see the transformation of your home when the construction is completed.

Lauren this brought so many memories of my mom recipes too ( she passed in 2007) and I also have her recipe books ( our family are from Spain & Cuba and we are all amazing cooks. Your dinner looked heavenly. I have watched you cleaning your fridge for a long time now and still marvel at how few leftovers you seem to have in the icebox. Last night we processed the two hams that we ordered from our favorite ham company. We ran them through the slicer and packed all of the meats into vacuum seal bags. While doing that we finished up a brisket and packed the meat in handy dandy portions for several suppers.

I always make my mom's roast beef, And her stuffed ribs, also her stuffing. It helps me because she is a part of Christmas. Maybe make a recipe of your mom's for Christmas.
