Winter Work on my Bald Cypress 'Dome' Bonsai

In this video I take the thickest tree, that is only an inch from the perimeter of the pot, and place it to become the main tree of the forest planting. To do this I removed some smaller trees that were in the way and replant them in an area that the squirrels dug up when the trees were just tiny seedlings. As they break dormancy I will trim every tree to create the dome effect that you see in nature.

I have four (or five) other trays at least as dense as this one! I'll be yanking trees out of those to pot individually soon! Speaking of squirrels, they ate the trunks of some of my ports years ago and even though I was incensed at the time it turns out the the "damage" they caused actually made for some very interesting scars. Maybe I'll try to make a video on that group of trees.

This is actually a mica pot, if I'm not mistaken the longest mica they ever made, 30". Do they even make mica pots anymore? I've never really checked it out.
