Please go on Google and ask this question: What is thermodynamic law define. Since you're always out in the cold doing different things thermodynamic law governs everything you do. If you simply look this up it's a lot easier than me trying to explain it. I graduated from college in 1991 with an HVAC degree and of course thermodynamic law governs everything in HVAC. As long as you follow these laws, and they are a constant unchanging law, you will be much cooler or much warmer. On a side note, take your truck to any service center and have them change the heater core flush out the system and you will have heat in that truck easy peasy as you like to say. It's very important to have heat you never know what the world's going to throw at you and you have to be prepared for it. The external sources that you use for heat, such as electrical or mechanical through propane are not limitless. Watch your back be safe be smart that's all I'm saying. Take care of yourself

If you run30 synthetic blend, it might help quiet the engine. I’m a believer in it, run 40 in the summer 30 in the winter. You get the thickness of the oil and protection of the metals with the synthetic. I have a 92 Explorer, feels like I have more compression too. I have 200198 miles original engine….she is running strong. She was my daily driver to work. The lifters aren’t tapping as much too. I use Valvoline. Change it every 4500.
