You FIXED me!! My system is under my stove. As you said your check valve was crudded and was open, mine too. I had a new valve in hand and since the valve needed to be closed I just screwed on the spare check valve to the output heater connection stopping the input flow. . The check valve needs bigger tools. HA!.. Thanks again for the post. Dead on!

Dave thank you for is video. I had a 3 valve system and my new camper has 1 valve and have the same problem you had. This video was a life saver. Thanks again

Well this is great information. I just got my first camper and it looks like a one valve system. It's tucked away so tight I can't hardly see. BUT, I see you pulled off the fuse box and that is what is in my way too so I just might pull that off and get a good luck in there. This video really helped a ton, thanks!

Dave, thanks I filled my water heater with antifreeze and used a crazy amount of product. I could not figure out the way the valve could possibly work! A check valve makes it all possible! My check valve must have failed. Much appreciated!

Thanks for sharing. I was looking how to winterize and noticed the 3 way valve is more common and started to get worried I didn't have a by-pass system. But now I know I have one, Thanks!

Thanks this really helped with the one valve system.

Very helpful!!!! Thank you; I believe we have the same problem. We wasted 2 gallons of antifreeze that flowed through the water heater and onto the ground after we closed the bypass!!

FYI: It does not hurt anything to fill your Hot Water Tank with RV AntiFreeze. It tastes funky in the spring, however, it is not toxic. It does cost more. Small price.

My Keystone is same thing! doesn’t make any sent isn’t it. I spent almost $ 400 at RV shop for bypass kit.

THANK YOU for this video. The guy at the RV dealership had no idea what that did during the walkthrough. I'm still trying to figure out which position is bypass and which one is open to water heater. I can't put water in it quite yet because it still gets below 32 at night. I'll figure it out. I have NO IDEA where my water pump is. I am starting to think it's behind the power converter.

I have a question for you, I also do have a springdale with one bypass valve system, I went camping recently and I couldn't get hot water out of the faucet, the water heater will turned on and heat the water but not hot water came out of the hot side faucet, just cold water. I tried the by pass valve set on the horizontal position and vertical position and no hot water on either position. My outside shower knobs are closed so no mix of the lines there. You think is the check valve not working good? and how the bypass valve should be set when camping? I got confused now with this problem. if you have time to answer I will really appreciate any of your comments, thank you in advance.
