Who would ever replace the upper plenum gasket WITHOUT replacing the upper plenum? Often times it is NOT the gasket, but the plenum itself. Buy the whole kit.

It's had its problems but it's still less expensive than a brand new car. My next project is to figure out how to replace the heater panel because all the knobs on it are destroyed. Are the series 3 known for this too? 2008 Buick Lacrosse. No visible leak, coolant loss is extremely slow, and car drives great, besides a rough start sometimes. Otherwise no rattling, vibrations, etc.

After replacing the fuel pump in my 2006 Jeep grand cherokee laredo 3.7 WK- Im now having a problem with a vapor lock and my new pump is making a ringing/humming noise off and on-is there a way to fix it with a inline check valve or inline filter of some sort. I have to release pressure on the fuel rail to re-crank it after it runs for more than 20 minutes/ which is a possible fire risk which makes it not safe to drive. Any suggestions?

Is the way to do a mercedes c180 w204.46 timing chain tensioner. Ive changed to cam shaft adjustor and put in a new tensioner but it keeps going out of timing due to the timing chain is still slack 😑 David

Yeah, prime it to a full extension, screw it in and then you have a new problem a chain guides wear out. Tensioner has to prime it self so it adjusts to the chain strecth with no more force then an oil pressure.

I’m working on a 2006 zx5 Same exact engine and transmission I have a question I’m also swapping the master cylinder can I just drain the resivoir as the first step and second question is will I lose all the mtf oil when I pull the cv axles ? So should I drain the two quarts of mtf oil first as well ?

Yes I got in a hurry and cleaned my tensioner out to get all contaminated oil out well I forgot to prime it was and first time I failed on timing .

When you go to compress it again to put pin in it to install the chain do you think it will still be primed?
