I think, in lower leagues this "fear factor" is hampered by your opponent not always noticing it detonate. "Huh, I thought I had more marines? Nevermind, just build some more".

For anyone curious, it will take 167 attacks from unupgraded hydras to kill an orbital with building armor (not counting damage from burning). Without building armor it takes 137 attacks. For +3 hydras, it's 125 attacks, or 108 without building armor.

Honestly this was a really well played series by Reynor. His status as a top 3 Zerg, and even at times a top 5 player, has been suspect at times in the last year or 2. But this right here, this is the Reynor that won World Championship. This is the Reynor that stole the crown off Serral's head. I'm not even like the world's biggest Reynor fan, really, but I do appreciate good gameplay. And with how unstoppable Clem has been lately, it's good to remind everyone that he's only human. Weird to consider Reynor an underdog in any matchup, but I would definitely say he was unfavored here. For reference, according to Liquipedia's head-to-head match history, Clem had more than a 70% win-rate against Reynor in the last 12 months leading up to this game.

What has been making Clem so good against zerg lately is that he leaves his base undefended - so it looks like he is doing well but in reality he has a very big weak spot - Reynor really showcased that in these three games moreso the last 2.

Game 2. If clem had a bunker at any of these bases. and a near by barracks rallying marines into it as previously commented. He easily wins this game. Half these run bys are not as devastating. even when it got worse and worse. put one bunker on the gold that he flew from his main.... put 1 on his 3rd... 1 on his 4th anything man please.

As a zerg primary, I can tell you that it would probably imbalanced towards zerg. The population cap is what keeps the swarm at bay. Zerg can remax faster than the other two races, because of the larva mechanic. A single production building can build up to 19 units in parallel, when the larva has been stacked. Zerg would do what it does now - max to 300, trade with the opponent, and remax to 300 in the meantime.

Clems entire style to is to use auto 0 control units like widow mines and liberators so he can micro his bio constantly and abuse op micro'd marines. Tanks require you to focus fire to work most effectively. Tanks need too much control for clem to use them. If you could set and forghet tanks then he would build them non stop too.

I dont think most would agree that Clem's playstyle is particularly unique, very one trick pony. Byun, Maru and others play Terran the way they are meant, not relying too much on autoattack from the Widows

zerg has a pretty high skill floor to play effectively though, you have to keep up with the larvae injects and creep spread while defending all your bases... i'm playing SC2 again with mainly terran and zerg and i don't see much effective zergs in bush league where i'm in and needless to say i'm not very effective with zerg either, but still my favorite class since the first starcraft

zerg isnt op vs terran at all. terran hardly lost a match in wtl, other than to terran, we have a terran world champion, after a TvT final, and that's before zerg got nerfed more and now we just saw an 'out of form' maru 2-0 serral and simply roll over him despite serral landing every spell perfectly. clem got outplayed here nothing more or less, reynor had to catch clem napping and not defending his eco over and over to even have a chance to win in that game 2, reynor killed 116 workers, kept clem on 3 bases for 20 mins and clem still was still able to have a bigger army. reynor is op not zerg haha
