great video and reaction.. I feel the same way about this song.. it resonates so very deeply with my very being it's impossible to transcribe it into words. Perhaps check out "Sons of Winter and Stars, live at sonic pump studios"? :) amazing studio quality live recording video. They have 3 of those videos on youtube. They are played so well that a lot of people prefer them to the original album versions.

Ending of the song is metaphor of the death. It came from. Nowhere

Had to come back to this reaction today since lately there's been quite a lot new channels reacting to Wintersun but it's always either Sons of Winter and Stars or Time. While those are truly fantastic songs, I just wish more people would react to Eternal Darkness too. I cherish your reaction to our and I still consider it one of the best

Now you have 2 options: finish the album with "Awaken From The Dark Slumber" and "The Forest That Weeps"... or check out the song that "defines" the bands sound "Souns Od Winter And Stars" from the Time I album... your choice

Your clip is rather old by now, but I love it. I know that both the bassist and the drummer have joined Nightwish, but that's exactly the reason I ever found this band. This Forest Seasons album really is my favorite now, I can't help but listen to it at least twice a day, no matter in bed in the morning or the last one when trying to sleep. I'm quite surprised this band is not very well known, not even here in Finland. But like myself I wish I had known them earlier, I've lost 5 years, if not 15.

Fantastic song ! Just love the lyrics and the black metal style Jari used in this. Great reaction/review of the song man, and I think the end is to show us how death can end anything suddenly. I recommend you to check out their magnum opus (which is my favorite song o all time too), Sons of Winter and Stars live at Sonic Pump Studios. I think this song will blow you away !

Hmmm... My first time listening to this. I really don't know why so many metalheads shat on this. Guess it was just an expectations kind of thing. Not that I love this sound completely. But the blackened elements sound pretty solid to me.

@Juniio If you crave some nice, underrated Swedish black metal anno '96, check out Setherial "Mörkrets Tid" off of the full length, 'Nord...' Any other track off said album will do. They are all equally chilling nuggets of awesome, frosty black metal.

Third time i watch your reaction on this :D the song and your reactions just so fucking good! Wishing you would do some more wintersun soon! Wintersun - Time (TIME I Live Rehearsals At Sonic Pump Studios) REMASTER is my recommendation. Keep it up.

Nice reaction! Hadn't heard this song by Wintersun yet and i dig it. I love their very first album, but felt like the newer stuff wasn't for me. This particular song was pretty neat though. As for more blackmetal, I have a reaction for you. Deathspell Omega - The Shrine of Mad Laughter. Super intricate and chaotic in nature with creepy vibes throughout the slower passages. Or maybe, Shining - I Och Med Insikt Skall Du Förgå, for some heavy, yet very melancholic black metal. Make sure you choose the version with the speech held by the lead singer Niklas in the beginning.

Can’t wait! I’m glad you get fantasy visuals like I do! The other 2 will definitely evoke that. Get your horn goblet and warpaint out haha. You should check out early Ensiferum, too. That’s the band that got him famous. Check out Token of Time

Whew! I'm just guessing, but the singer seems upset. I know I'm going out on a limb. Perhaps herbal tea is in order. But seriously: powerful instrumentals, and fierce emotional intensity, as if an enraged star were going supernova. Suggestions: "Nebula" by Gru (exhilarating, awe-inspiring guitar that will cause you to almost have an out-of body experience), "Hold On" by Cloudkicker (ass-kicking instrumentals that ram their tongue into your ear and show no mercy), "Warflower" by The Mayan Factor, which will grab you emotionally right from the get-go; and "Pistolero" by Juno Reactor, a brilliant mixture of flamenco-style guitar and techno intermixed with sound effects, haunting vocals, and movie dialogue.

Otherwise great, but I can't listen Limb Bizkit after this. Ha ha. But yeah, I kinda overlooked this album at first. It also received bit of mixed reviews. But more I have listened to this, I think its on par with the highly praised debut album. Maybe their best? Hell, they are all good albums.
