this version is very intense. there's so much to hear, and i can appreciate the original mix even more now. That last guitar solo tho... it should be nominated for a Nobel Prize

This track‘s rhythm guitar part is so insane… it’s almost sad it’s „buried“ underneath the orchestration… awesome you figured that out as well 😉
@dwillerdАй бұрын
Listening to the Orchestration isolated track I can understand why that happened. 1st reason is that the orchestration is filled with effects, reverb, delays and etc, on top of all the density of instruments on it, and the 2nd reason is that for a lot of times the rhythm guitars and the orchestration are happening on the same frequency range, so there's not much to be done, you would have to sacrifice one in favour of the other. Even listening to rhythm guitars + orchestration alone we can notice that both don't quite "fit" together in the same space, even though both are written beautifully, maybe not necessarily together.

@@dwillerd It’s done on purpose. Those 2 tracks blend together perfectly (are blended) and form a strong melody line. It’s just slightly sad that the nice triads (in fact i can hear „duads“, augmented and diminished powerchords) in the rhythm guitar can’t be distinguished when hearing to the complete mix. I need to listen to the song on my 770 pro again, currently only listened to the album on my Yamaha hs8 monitors and AirPods

Nah, this version is very much lacking. The orchestration makes it a million times better

Sounds very Schuldiner-esque, I'd say.
@stefanstuder2810Ай бұрын
Indeed, that riff at 2:34 sounds so much like Schuldiner’s riffing style
@ilikevideos4868Ай бұрын
Yep one riff is very obviously inspired by Symbolic
@VARVIS_Ай бұрын
If you watch some of his Jari play's riffs videos he always plays Symbolic/TSOP era riffs. You can tell he is very inspired. Also a lot of Yngwie, esp in in his leads

@@VARVIS_ so when is Ms Varvis going to react to any Wintersun masterpiece? hehe

WOW i prefer those version imagine .... the orchestration is that take him 12 years haha he should have release time II without it haha
@EsaValkama26 күн бұрын
The orchestrations for Time I and Time II were all written between 2007 and 2011 so 5 years, not 12.

That part at 6:19 - 6:24 ... The harmony.. I thought it just reminded me of the Last samurai by Hans Zimmer but it is actually it, just that bit, which repeats more times after this timestamp. Has anyone noticed? Search for the track "A way of life" and skip to 7:19. It is the same harmony or actually maybe we could call it the melody which goes together with the chord progression. What do you think? I got goosebumbs.
@exumaan2512Ай бұрын
Similar but not the same, the chords are different. Very cool nevertheless!
@NateShredwardsАй бұрын
Definitely similar, I hear/see what you mean. All I can think of is Katsumoto dying in Nathan's hands with the cherry blossom petals falling when I hear this album.

Reminds me of Something Wild for sure. This song reminds me of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, which Alexi covered. Might be their love for Vivaldi showing haha

@@NateShredwards something wild is very Malmsteen inspired, Alexi said so himself. I think Jari is also a big Malmsteen fan
