Thank you so much for undertaking this great musical journey for not only me and all the Wintersun fans out there, but also spreading the word and got new people to listen to this band, that might never even heard of it otherwise! I got multiple friends to whom I recommended your channel years ago and who watch you regularly now. Most of them didn't ever really get into Wintersun, despite my efforts to do so. Those exact people watched your Wintersun videos and have been pestering me for the last few weeks, why I never forced them to listen to Wintersun more seriously, lol. Your way of listening to, analysing and FEELING music is something really special, that has always hooked me and made me interested in all kind of music that I didn't really care about before. I got back into Tool, for example, when you did your videos on the new album about a year ago. I can imagine I'm not the only one who feels that way. As for "Loneliness", I felt exactly the same as you about this song. It really is a welcome calm salvation (especially after the dark powerhouse that was "Eternal Darkness") and a great ending for the album. Additionally, it really underlines this quiet dormancy of winter, before spring takes over and nature explodes. Also, Jari's voice is absolutely amazing and it is like you said, "If you don't like screaming and growling, this Wintersun song is the song for you" :D Keep it metal!! \m/ Julian

I'm just floored how you both never mentioned the pain and sadness in his voice during this song. This was a hard song for Jaari. He literally isolated himself for a week to get in the proper state of mind for how he felt during this period of his life to reflect that in his vocals. I mean even his harsh vocals sound like he is crying. It's just crazy to me. Now maybe the first album will get some love since nobody really talks about that masterpiece these days.

Most reaction video are more in line with Jari's lyrics and emotions. Most people cried during the song. I'm also quite surprised at this reaction as if they didn't get the meaning of it. I'm quite cautious on calling a song or an album a Masterpiece but This... it's at the top of my Masterpiece criteria.

When I listen to this song, I think of Valfar. Died at 25 from hypothermia, caught in a snowstorm on a walk back to his parents house. He laid there for hours, hopeless. His limbs frozen. His face facing the heavens as he took his last breath, hopeless and forgotten. Rest in peace.

Thanks again for your reactions to this incredible score. Watched them all at one session, 3 am in the morning (yes, I do suffer from insomnia). I must say, the last one can get even a guy like me emotional (ok, after a few drinks, never mind). Although I know it's rather personal for Jari, the lyrics can be adapted to just anyone losing something or someone.

NW performed the first half of their 2021 Virtual Tour today and you might be able to catch a few songs before they get blocked. The new NW bass player from Wintersun, Jukka, is set to tour with the band for the 2021 tour. Ironically, the original NW drummer was also named Jukka. When he retired for health reasons, he called on his good friend, Kai, who was the Wintersun drummer, so now NW has two former Wintersun bandmates. Hope you get to see my favorite song from the 2021 Human Nature album, "Shoemaker" Laudato Si Ad Astra 2021 Virtual Tour @F3z0
