Wintersun is finnish epic metal band from Helsinki. Jari Mäenpää (lead singer, guitar) is mastermind behind the band. He composes, master and mixes all the songs. Wintersun started as his solo project while he was still in Ensiferum (great Finnish metal band also 😊). Other wizards are Teemu Mäntysaari (guitar, backing vocals, plays now also in Megadeth). Jukka Koskinen (bass, backing vocals, plays also in Nightwish) and human metronome himself Kai Hahto (drums, plays also in Nightwish). There are still two more songs from same rehearsals Sons of Winter and Stars and Land of Snow and Sorrow.

This is my all time favorite song (which has been officially released), but that all will change in August 30th when the new album "Time II" is released and I know there is stuff that easily surpasses this song. Be prepared to "The Way Of The Fire", it'll melt your brain completely.

Singer/guitarist Jari Mäenpää is multitalent capable to play any instrument but it would be difficult to handle in live performances....That's why he happened to have good fiends (Nightwish drummer & bassist and guitarist of Megadeth).

Definitely do Sons Of Winter And Stars next Both Kai Hahto (drummer) and Jukka Koskinen (bass) now play for Nightwish. Jari Mäenpää the vocalist is a beast. He lost half a lung due to TB when he was serving in the armed forces. He is a real perfectionist 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Sons Of Winter And Stars is their Magnum Opus in my opinion 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Noup, wintersun doesn't have just one masterpiece. there are MANY! I'm a bit nuts here because Wintersun is releasing a new album this year, Time ll. As well as the number one band on my list, Nightwish, is releasing a new album, Yesterwynde, on April 20, 2024. Thanks for your reaction, it was great to see how you enjoyed this. I hope you continue your journey with this rabbit hole. in my opinion, not a single song is a disappointment. No, the next one is not gonna be trouble. There is at least Lonlynessband the Sons of winter and stars and some other stuff too. I started my journey whit songs of winter… And I was not a metal head at that time. I found this group by Nightwish reactions, which I was found just a little time a go. Well first time I heard Sons of… I was like 😳. But, it stayed to my spine, and I listened it again. And WOW!🤪. Was I sold to this band❤.
