Winthrop attracts top high school teachers from around the world

Top high school teachers from around the world come to Winthrop University each spring to immerse themselves in American culture and public education.
The prestigious program aims to break cultural barriers and plug teachers into a global network of stellar educators.
The Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program is run by the United States Department of State and IREX, a Washington D.C. nonprofit.
Winthrop is one of five American universities selected to participate in the federally-funded TEA program.
