Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. I always wandered, Dont we have to pay something on the remittance. I live in EU and already paid tax on it so the IN gov cannot tax the remittance because of the double tax treaty. How is it with UAE and IN. If UAE has 0 tax then it will be taxed in India from my logic.

I don't understand this concept that you think you're paying 30% tax outright regardless of the salary tax bracket. For example if you earn 18LPA and you opt for the new tax regime, you pay around 2.15Lakhs tax which comes out to be 11.4% of tax. Also the population of Indians earning more than 15LPA is less than 1 percent. Still they complain about the 30% tax.

15K in 2000 and 60K in 2002 he is rich already.. start of real estate & gold boom. Think of the real estate rates around your area/gold rates at that time and if you compare the disposable income he had for investing in those. He nailed it. This is one among the story many poor kids who went abroad and became rich utilising the opportunities. The success and key differentiator in all these stories will be ‘they did not spend on lifestyle improvement instead invested’.

So the moral of every story is that you can be financially free if you work abroad.

And faster if it is tax free.

Please your moral is half right. I know people worked in Abroad and still in trouble. Work in Abroad, live frugal and invest most of your income.

He should be the India story of every low or poor family. That opportunity should be given to everyone in India to break from shackles of Poverty & low incomes.
