The 2x dry clutch dampers should be sold individually as they are a wear part. You should not have to pay $50 for 2 dampers in a kit if all you plan to use the base for is damped control. I asked about this in a ticket with a response that they don't sell parts. Considering it's a custom part Winwing should rethink that. Otherwise, the flexibility of the modular base is a great design choice. 👍

I love my Winwing Orion 2 throttle & am sure I'll end up getting one of the MFSSB versions at least, but I have to call Winwing out with their claim that this will be the first joystick to emulate real heli controls via dampening, as others have stated, VKB has done this before with both their entry level stick the NXT EVo & their more expensive Gunfighter MkIII base.

I think you have misinterpreted what WW have said....this is the first stick that does all three - Standard, Force sense and heli

@@phillperry487 2:10 - 2:30 Pretty sure that's not referring to the ability to change out the different cam/mfssb system, they are outright saying their cam/damper system the "Helo Mode" "is the first time on any joystick on the market to actually simulate the no-return-to-center cyclics of a helicopter" I'm not knocking the stick, it's an awesome product idea & I want to get myself one, just the claim it's the first stick to ever have cams & damping isn't exactly accurate. The claim that this is the first to be able to be swapped from MFSSB to a cam/damping system is as far as I know correct. Anyway, I could be totally misunderstanding it! lol

Your system is really cool, but your claim to be the first to have clutches that can stimulate a helicopter cyclic is false. Both the VKB Gunfighter and VKB Gladiator NXT EVO can be configured this way.

@@phillperry487 I'm not talking collective either. The gunfighter and gladiator NXT EVO can both operate springless with dampers just like the Orion 2 can. Not saying they are better or whatever I haven't used the Orion 2 yet to review. Just saying the claim is false.

Ive had mine for a couple weeks now. Pretty much the same system; Orion 2 throttle bsae and stick base, FA-18 throttle handles with finger lift kit and F-16EX stick grip with shake kit. So far im pretty happy with it... But im having some isilated issues. For some reason in DCS, When im in the FA-18, the stick movement in the aircraft stutters and jerks in both axis. It didnt do it when i first got the Winwing system. Here's whats really weird about it. It only does it in in the Hornet, although i noticed the F-16 doing it some today. Other aircraft work fine. The rudder pedals and throttle all move normally. Here's whays even more weird about it. If im in the hornet or Viper and the stick is stuttering and jerking, when i put the sim into active pause, the stuttering and jerking stops. Of course the Winwing system works fine in other sims. Anyone seen this before?

Ditch the music! Really, were trying to listen to information that is being drowned out by music. Intro and outro for music, during dialog - never. If you're going to keep it, at least adjust the levels so we can hear the narrator, but no don't keep it.
