So even after Mongolia became independent, China still had a claim to Yuan history, although today it needs to be shared with the Mongols. After all, if the Yuan Dynasty was not Chinese history and Kublai Khan was not the emperor of China, why did he write history for the Liao, Song, Xia and Jin and acknowledge their legitimacy? And why to name the country Dayuan from a poem in the ancient Chinese classic Book of Changes? Why should China be governed by traditional Chinese political thought and bureaucracy? If you still insist on your opinion, I think you may think that the Yuan Dynasty was not founded by the dominant ethnic group of China, Han, but you should understand that national history is not the same as ethnic history. At this point, you can see why Mongolia can't claim Chinese territory right? As for why China has sovereignty over the South China Sea, I believe I have made it very clear above . The South China Sea has been under the control of the Central Dynasty of China since over 2,000 years ago, without interruption for over 2,000 years!
