Idiot! America has it's own oil. Alaska, the Dakotas, and Texas are full of oil. We just buy oil from other countries to preserve our own. Canada and Mexico have their own oil as well. America gets 60% from Canada, 10% from Mexico, Saudi Arabia 7%, and 0% from Russia. The United States has proven reserves equivalent to 4.9 times its annual consumption. This means that, without imports, there would be about 5 years of oil left (at current consumption levels and excluding unproven reserves).
