Thanks for the update. That's exciting for both boys. My granddaughter has many different learning challenges. She was in a GENED class. Which I was really worried because of the history of her previous schools outside of my care. But she did great. The SPED teachers came into her class once a week. Then they would take her out to do more of her language and speech. Then another day they would do her math with her. Plus, her IEP helped in many more challenges in the classroom. Ex: noise reduction headphones when she tested, classroom independent work. Her teachers were so great she actually made honor roll and the most improved reader. Now she is not living with us and parents don't do all she needs and support. I always worry about her. It's very stressful that I have no access to her teachers or school work .. 😢💛

I can't use anything except Everlasting Tips! I made a rookie mistake when I first bought stainless steel tips and got some from a knockoff company and they were so cheaply made, but I happily replaced all tips with ET. I hope her business picks up again since you can tell she truly cares about quality and making people happy. Oh, boy, may the repairs go quickly and not be too costly. We learned the same thing about DIY fixers with our first home, too. We were a bit of a nightmare for our second realtor but it wasn't her money we were spending and she made a great purchase off our sale and purchase, so don't feel bad about being "picky!" 💜

Congratulations to Connor! I hope the transition goes smoothly. And good luck with all the house projects. Sending you good vibes. 💛 Also, if you like cozy games like Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon, you'll love Disney Dreamlight Valley. There are quests and a storyline, but not an overarching one like the Horizon series. But it's kind of nice to wave at Mickey while Minnie and I harvest crops and go fishing with Goofy. XD You can probably wait until the free release if you want to try it out though- right now it's mostly like you're paying to beta test it.

I was misdiagnosed as a child with ADHD. It wasn't until I was in my 40's I was diagnosed with autism. Totally explained a lot of things. I was in that group of late 60's that all children with issues was labeled as ADD/ADHD. Totally understand the house issues. We bought our first house just a few years ago. Our home was built in 1921. We love it but now see issues that were masked and now having to fix and repair correctly. Good luck. We have been screwed.

Glad to hear about the progress with the kids at school! Bummer about the remodeling but you’ll feel much better once it’s completed. I’m the same way about change, i have a hard adjusting even though it usually is fine in the end getting there sucks. No finishes for me for January or the year but I’ve been plugging away at aerial Angel from DAC (you unboxed her a while back and i loved her and had to have it.) as always I enjoy your videos and appreciate the mental/ emotional/ head space check ins and chats you have. 💖💖💖

Katie, I saw this suggestion by someone (can't remember who) who said to used nail polisher remover to take off legends and writing around the canvas so you can keep your edges. I tried it during this video by dipping a q-tip in nail polish remover and it completely took off the thumb nail. So it works! I'm so excited. You can keep the edges, just clean off writing and my washi tape stuck back down. Yay. Like you, I like the cute edges of the paintings.

Katie, I remember when everlasting tips came out with their stainless steel tips that you just replace the brass part for the stainless steel part. I like these single placers because they aren’t any bigger than the regular tips and don’t warp. I haven’t tried any other company that makes a similar product because I love their tips. They also make stainless steel tips for pick me up pens.

❤️🔥🧡. Lovely to hang with you, Katie. My heart bleeds for you with these home repairs and renos that you are going to be putting up with. We had our kitchen and bathroom done three years ago now and remembering that time still gives me the heebies! But the finished kitchen and bathroom are totally worth the misery of that time. So I hope everything goes well for you guys and I’ll be sending prayers for both your babies as they make these massive transitions with their schooling. I’m sending love and hugs to you too as you try to incorporate into your psyche these changes your babies are going to go through. 🫶🏼🙏🏻

Congrats to Connor! I’m sure the IEP team had plenty of data to support the change in placement, or they definitely wouldn’t have recommended it 😊 Also, another avenue to look at possibly being evaluate for ASD is to look through the universities. I know there are quite a few programs developing to help adults get evaluated, and it might be worth looking into 😊👍🏻

I don’t consider you as an idiot for delaying the repairs to your house. Due to that not everyone can get to their house repairs immediately, due to one to a number of things that are preventing the necessary repairs to be done. If you think you situation is bad, my uncle (who works as an architect) took multiple years to finish their house, which was doubled in size. They literally lived in a house for those years, that has a big hole in the back, where the old part of the house meets the new section and there was only a large plastic sheet keeping the weather out of the old part. The reason it took so long, was that his house was more of a side project, that he only worked on it during his off time. My uncle lives in Utah and even though it rarely rains there, it normally gets a few feet of snow annually. Also his house is now done. So, you’re situation could be worse 💛🧡
