=== PLEASE READ=== This project has been discontinued, *but* I've began work on a new one! I'm working on recycling Wii Fit balance boards and using their load cell sensors to create an affordable, hopefully durable dance pad that can take more of a beating and gives more accurate readouts with a slightly less janky overall design. @@georgelai2051 Couldn't get them to work unfortunately :( I'm not familiar enough with how they work to put together any hardware that's capable of actually using them, it would've been really cool if I could though At least Re:Flex pads are a nice DIY solution that uses them, and way better than I ever could at that

*PIU, in this case. 5 panels as opposed to 4 and much better gameplay with more options imo.

I have a considerably less eloquent velostat ITG pad based on a similar design, good work man, you ever finish this project?
@dj5055 жыл бұрын
I haven't :( Unfortunately the project is dead now - but I'm making a new one using load cell sensors, similar to Impulse/SMX, but much lower quality lol It uses sensors from torn-down Wii Fit balance boards, which are super affordable at your local goodwill, so I'm hoping to make a decent pad that doesn't cost a fortune using recycled parts

What is the size of the sensors that you made? I dont want to make them to small
@dj5055 жыл бұрын
About 6.5 x 3 centimeters, and 3.5mm thick. Sorry for the late response, hope I'm not too late!

What's the point of the L-brackets?

Basically to give a bit more leeway with positioning and strength as opposed to placing the panels right on top of the sensors. And to emulate an actual arcade pad a bit more closely. I kinda forgot exactly how I meant to use them at this point
