Blimey, this Primetime version of Wipeout looks terrible! Thank goodness that it got revamped in 1998 when it moved to Daytime; I grew up with the Bob Monkhouse era anyway.

I grew up with both in some form since I was born in 1988 and I hard disagree. Paul Daniels had way more enthusiasm than Bob Monkhouse. Don't get me wrong, Monkhouse is a legend but even HE went on record saying he hated hosting it.

@@MindstormXL Then I don't know what to say apart from that the primetime version has a more closer resemblance to the original American version than what the later daytime version does....

@@MindstormXLI always felt Bob wasn’t his normal self when he took over. He didn’t seem enthusiastic as he was doing his older game shows and I thought as it was on lunchtime slot he probably thought nobody would be watching.
