I had a winch once. It got stolen out of a storage unit. Brand new in the box too, 12,000 pounds. I've been watching Mater videos, MORR videos, Fabrats videos, I have learned so much about recovering vehicles, and getting people out of sticky situations. I never would have though pulling someone with a winch as you would with a strap is bad. I'd be curious to learn why! One day I'll have another vehicle that is worthy of having a winch and doing some offroading. For the time being maybe I should put on on my Crown Vic!

Another random thought that just came to mind was that you probably just cannot 'teach' someone the art of off-road recovery, as it would have to come from many years of experience AND having a thought process that's equivalent to about 64GB of RAM. I mean, seriously - at any given point while towing a vehicle through rough / steep / wet terrain - how many things you think the operator is doing all at once? - It's pretty darn impressive. (Language filter 'on' - Ha!) What Enquiring minds REALLY want to know is this: If Rory is the lead operator while Mike is swingin' the camera while Shawn is being towed in the recovered vehicle - - When it is ALL said and done - - Who 'EDITS' your content? - Because He/She deserves a BIG shout out! Thanks again for sharing your content so frequently with us. 👊👊👊👊👊
