As I age, i can say that there is nothing greater than my baby boy helping me through the day.. im so glad that there are people out there love their parents enough NOT to put their parents in a retirement house.

I agree 💯%. My mother in law is 96, and my parents are in their 80's. NO, I'm not putting them in a home. I take care of them. They wouldn't last long in a home because the facilities don't 😢 have enough staff to give them proper care. They're very happy and living full lives. No shame intended. I'm just speaking for me and me only.

I have been knitting and crocheting for almost 50 years.........my goodness that makes me feel old. I crochet left handed and recently discovered I knit right handed. I am sure a lot of people answer your questions during the video.......I know I do.........lol. I am new here and so glad I found you because you are such a bright light in the world! Loving the Sunday lives with your Momma! What I wouldn't give to sit and talk yarn with my Mom one more time over a cup of coffee. Juan, I love how you mentioned getting your first comment from a store owner. It means so much as small business owners when we get the little congratulations. The first time the market owner told a customer "oh, there's the artist" was a shock and so much fun at the same time. It was a tad of anxiety, but a learning experience. Now I enjoy talking with the customers when I restock my booth. Then yesterday checking out at Dollar Tree with all the Premier Just Chenille, the cashier asked what I was doing with the yarn. I told her I make plushies and she asked for a card. Then she clapped her hands and said she ordered from my shop for her grandkids. I had to get over that shock and anxiety, and the man behind me smiled and said congrats on my little shop. It was a fun little moment.

Hi Juan, I understand as I was my mom's caretaker for the last 7 yrs, she suffered dementia from beatings( let's just say we both suffer from PTSD) But I lost her this past January. As another left hander I found it interesting that you found out you knit right handed! The same thing happened to me. I've dabbled with knitting a few times over the years. Have never gotten any farther than a few swatches of knits and pearls and then give up. I've always felt that I needed to find a left handed knitter to watch and learn more. And then . . . to my surprise, realized that I was knitting right handed all along. You must have something there when you explained about holding the yarn.

I enjoy seeing you with your mom. I took my mom in to live with me when she became ill. I took care of my son also right up to the day the Lord took him home. Unfortunately he developed brain cancer. Just enjoy your time with your mom. She is so precious and adorable.

Juan it is always a pleasure watching you and mom, she is a hoot. my mom is in heaven since 2016 2 days after mother's day, and sadly we were closer when I was in NY and her in Fl, I had a lot put on me from a young age so was very independent. still am. but I loved my mom, respected her as my mom. I taught myself to knit 10 yrs ago and made my first cable blanket for my oldest niece. I have many had the chance to get back into it. But since watching a KZbin channel called Needles at the Ready, it’s a married couple that shows off their whips and FOs it’s getting me back into it in between my crochet whips. ❤🧶
