I love your term, “It’s for the house.” It fits perfectly with my practice of telling people, “It’s just us” whenever there’s a glitch in our interactions..ex: took my pup to the vet last week, and the intake gal realized she was asking me questions that were on the printout I’d handed her. She stopped, looked at me, and said, “the answers are on this sheet in my hand, isn’t it?” I laughed and told her not to worry; “It’s just us!” Same philosophy..let go of worrying over things that really don’t matter. Things don’t have to be perfect to be great and lovely.

Hello Juan!!👋 How I love these WIP It With Juan sessions because I love working on my project while you work. And your company is just exactly what I need! I'm one of those people you mentioned in the opening...I have no one to keep me company as a crochet buddy. So I hope these vids will always continue! I'm still working on my son's blanket. I'm almost finished. About 10 more rows until I'm ready to put a border on. Think I'll put a crab stitch border on it. Nothing frilly since it's for a grown man (my son is 31). When I finish this one, I have 2 other blankets started that I'll work on to finish. I'm going to give one of those when finished to my neighbor's next door. They are so nice, and every week he brings my trashcan up from the road after the trash runs. I have a steep driveway and it's very hard for me to roll it up the hill. So I want to give them a blanket to show my appreciation for him rolling my trashcan up every week! I have no idea what color scheme they've decorated with. However, I've reached an age now that it doesn't matter if it matches a sofa or chair. Handmade blankets are so special that any color(s) are beautiful. It will be nice to cover up for a nap! It's for the House, Love it! Yes, alternate the colors, I think it looks better than one color. You have way more patience than I do. I cannot tell you how many times I have contemplated this granny square yarn and walked away from it. JoAnn had so many colors on Friday when I went and I just walked away. Thank you again so much for these WIP it sessions. It is like sitting down with a friend, crocheting, and catching up on life.

My whole life I work- aholiced 😅. For 20 years I worked 80 hours a week. When I finally was put in position to work a reg 50ish hour week weekends off,, I didn't know what to do with myself. NOW I'm lucky to be a stay home homesteading. Take care of house and dogs and partake I gardening, canning, etc etc and find if I have time I wanna just crochet lol. 😊😊😊❤❤❤. I have made somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 blankets with Bernat Blanket yarn. It started with a couple for my grandkids. Then everyone wanted one 😂😂. I used whatever stitch tickled my whimsey, sometimes solid colors, or varigated, or a combination, even leftovers in no particular order. I decided to sew a snowflake button on the corner of each of them. It signifies my love for snow and, like snowflakes, no two blankets are alike.

Yes, I like the green/blue squares with the brown squares. You have more patience than I would ever have; frogging that many times to get the color rows right. I can’t crochet and read tv captions so I tell hubby, turn up the sound. Ha

I love your "Wip'n with Juan" sessions !! I grab one if my WIP's, and work on it while I listen to you ramble on 💕. I know you can't hear me, but I talk to you while your're doing your thing. My husband will walk through the room... "Who are you talking to? ; oh, it's Juan..." Those Lilypad granny squares are a very nice compliment to the beige ones. A pop of subtle color makes a big difference.

I’m 69 years old. Started crocheting at age 4, sewing at age 11, knitting at age 12. My right index finger ended up angled the opposite way of yours, almost 40 degrees. Got it straightened and fused. The middle finger, too. Then my thumb was bone on bone, so had that fused. Just got back from getting the left thumb done. Can’t wait to get back to everything. So I’m spending my time watching KZbin videos. I’m working with that yarn, too. However I have a type a personality. Close to following the pattern. I find I have to rip occasionally. I think the length of colors vary slightly. Glad to know you got 15 per skein; so do I. Your colors are great; looks like a day at the beach - sand and sea.

Juan, you are a better person than I am! I am a knitter, not a crocheter, but I would absolutely not have the patience to work with Red Heart granny square yarn! And I like Red Heart Super Saver! I have watched several content creators, and you and PassioKnit Kelsie are the only ones who got that yarn to work; you two are impressive.

I think yes the one panel has thicker stripes but it will tell a good story when you complete the scrapghan with the scrap cakes. I think it will be a fantastic looking ugly beautiful scrap blanket.

In response to your request to let you know...of course i love your content, you are just the sweetest Leo ever. I don't even like granny stitch things, but i know you and a lot of other crocheters enjoy it, and that's good enough reason for me to keep watching. Nick at Urban Farm Boys has recently discovered crochet and is obsessed with all things granny as well as the same colourway in the Picasso Ice yarn you love so much. I think what you are planning will make a lovely blanket. I have frogged those squares as many times as you did. I got to the point, three strikes you're out. On the fourth try, I crocheted two versus three together on one side. Had to do it with three squares out of 35. Who knows except me? Lol.
