Thank you! I've been looking for a cheap alternative for a ClampTite tool for awhile now. Watching this video has motivated me to go ahead and purchase one.

I've got to congratulate you. This just might be my favorite of the many videos I've seen about DIY versions of this tool. Your showing of the tool in action was fun to watch and put a big smile on my face. I'm a fan of minimalist designs, and this is the most basic and stripped down version of this tool I've seen yet. I'm also a fan of physical comedy. Your performance in this video was comedy gold. You managed to make the use of this simple tool, appear to be as complicated as a moon launch. That requires a special kind of genius. And you sir, are indeed, that kind of special. Really, I've never laughed and smiled so much while watching a tool almost win a wrestling match like I did here. Seriously, my face is sore now.

It doesn't have to be bolts. Any kind of rods would do. Thanks sir you cleared up my concept and made it look so simple.

Muhammed, forget about the negative comments in this column. To me your video was clear and I could have a good look at exactly what every part looks like, as well as the technique of using it. Thank you for that and keep up the good work !

I've done these wire clamps many times. It is so much easier and neater to pre-form the "clamp" and slip it over the end whenever possible rather than weave it in place. In jobs were I've had to make up many ends I'd spend a little time making up a simple form to wrap and form these clamps by the dozens.

Excellent and clear explanation of how pressure builds up on the wire while tightening it. I had watched videos of others making home made clamptite. but principle was not clear in videos. Excellent working. People have the choice to turn the music off if they do not like it as your video is not about good music but principle behind this little tool.

Great design, and simple. Two bolts and a nut. It works very well.
@ohyeah37503 жыл бұрын
Good job. But wouldn't it be better to file or grind down the bolt where the welded nut rides on. Also use a thinner wire, like electric fence wire, the thinner one.

The notch at the tip doesn't have to be that big. You will damage the hose when you do the bend. The notch shouldn't be deeper than the thickness of your wire.

Rough, but it will work. Moving wire together after cutting actually somewhat loosened the clamping action. Best to position them prior to final tightning and bending and cutting.

Wow... You took what should have been a 30 second fix and completely bumblefu*ked it. Pro tip 1 use correct size hose for fitting Pro tip 2 grind the threads between the holes in your t-handle so it can twist freely. Pro tip 3 don't get it twisted, the loops around the hose should not criss cross And finally if you can move the wires after your done twisting then they're not strong enough

This is an obvious copy of the Stronghold haywire klamper, and a crude one at that. Save yourself the time and effort and just buy a more efficient and better working tool. It literally applies a wire clamp in 30 second, with all your fumbling it took you 7 minutes.
@d.delgado21374 жыл бұрын
Please dont post any other videos....PLEASE!!
@robmarshallofficial2 жыл бұрын
That was painful to watch. I normally don’t leave negative comments, however you started this incorrectly by threading the wrong parts through leaving to much loop at the start, the looped sections overlapped at one part while trying to tighten it (meaning not a strong seal) and you need to invest in a pair or wire cutters and a small hammer (hammer for the thicker wire) instead of using a pair of pin nosed pliers. You are also not meant to move the wire once you have it on, if it moves, it’s not a strong enough fasten and I’m sure I saw near the end of the video, the pipe end (the bit you tried to fasten to the pipe), move because it wasn’t fastened tight enough. You may want to learn how this tool works, practice with it and then make a “How To Video”. And I know it takes time to make good quality videos, so plan what it is you want to do before you do it and look at some decent video editing software, and edit various shots explaining what you are doing, either with voice over, voice while filming or written word. Good luck with cuter videos
