We are just about to upload our Wire Pass Trail video and wanted to see what other ones there are out there and found yours!

Cool. I'll bet you had fun 😀

You turned around before the junction, so you didn’t even get to see the pictographs that are all over there. I’d recommend going back and going a little deeper.
@DaveOnArrival3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I need to go back and explore more when I have more time and am better equipped.

The landscape looks so similar to Namibia - it brings back memories! A 2 mile hike would be difficult for me, haha! I seriously need to get fitter 🙈The canyon looks stunning! I definitely need to do some exploring of America.

If you make it here, I definitely recommend Utah. I need to get to Namibia, though.

Did you check out the petroglyphs at the end of Wire Pass? Right near where it meets up with Buckskin Gulch on the right hand side...I think right after where you went rock climbing.
@DaveOnArrival6 жыл бұрын
The rock climbing is as far as I got. I didn't know there were petroglyphs.
@jorgecarlosbatista63944 жыл бұрын
Yes, they were right to the left of where you climbed
@bristleconepinus23783 жыл бұрын
pictographs of antelope or sheep you really can't miss them
@smartjoyfultraveler4 жыл бұрын
Great video! How far was it from the parking area to the canyon?
@DaveOnArrival4 жыл бұрын
Maybe about a mile/20 minute walk

@@DaveOnArrival my wife and i did about a 13 mi. r.t. and there was plenty canyon left to go, i think it terminates @ the Colorado river near Lees Ferry a little downstream. it's a long hike. take overnight gear for sure.
@JeffinBville6 жыл бұрын
That's a sweet spot. How do they mark the trail through the canyon?
@DaveOnArrival6 жыл бұрын
It's not marked. I think there's only one way to get through it.
@JeffinBville6 жыл бұрын
Didn't you went off on a side canyon?
@DaveOnArrival6 жыл бұрын
No it was a pretty straight shot
@alexuslawns6 жыл бұрын
How fast in the canyon Was The 8ft drop?
@cryptosupertramp77556 жыл бұрын
Not far at all, actually. Around 200-300 feet maybe.
@dantheman16244 жыл бұрын
Very close but you can hike above and around...
@MountainTopHomestead3165 жыл бұрын
Interesting, that part of the wall you were climbing is not longer there, it's like it washed away lol
@DaveOnArrival5 жыл бұрын
Really? I know it wasn't hard rock but I didn't expect it to wash away in 1 year. Interesting.
