Ayeeee now we’re talking!! I can’t wait to see how much it’s changed in person! I told ya the wire tuck was worth it!

So worth it! Still have to tuck those PS lines too

Can't wait to see the finished product with the engine in. It's gonna look so much cleaner. Keep up the 2v content

We can't wait either! Thanks we will keep it up

I can't wait for the finished product! I recently began tearing apart my 2v and prepping it for the machine shop. I used your parts list for your 2v as a reference to choose the parts for mine!

Thanks! And that's awesome best of luck with your build 🤘🏽 #2vgang

Thanks for the video guys. Helping me and my 16 year old son take on a few projects for our mk5. Cold air intake and turbo muffler delete were good for us. I'm definately hoping to never have an oil filter housing gasket cut loose. It's still informative to watch you replace it.

Very cool! I just picked up a 99 2v Roush with a popped engine this weekend. As I plan my restoration, wire tucking came to mind. Great video guy! Look forward to more.

Thank you!! A 99 Roush sounds awesome, good luck with the build

So to be clear, your tucking all the wires above the fender liner?
@shawnsilverstang2138 Жыл бұрын
Tuck those power steering lines, and run them through the fender well too. I just did mine and looks super clean with the wires tucked away as well. You’ll have to extend the rubber hose a little, the other two will reach back to where they belong.
@RatchetWrenches Жыл бұрын
We're definitely gonna tuck them! Just didn't get a chance to in the video. Can't wait to see the end result
@pjcustoms8508 Жыл бұрын
Agreed. Ran mine inside the fender as well.

This is going to be awesome! Did you get or consider the trick flow heads? I hear that they put in the work lol
@RatchetWrenches Жыл бұрын
We can't wait! And they are definitely the better choice when it comes to heads but I can't justify spending almost $2k on a set of heads so I'm gonna run mine how they are for now
@joshdaniel7894 Жыл бұрын
Does it make it harder to diagnose when tucked? Sorry new to this love the look from a few google searches though
@RatchetWrenches Жыл бұрын
Maybe a little bit since you'll have to remove the wheel and wheel liners to access the wires, but that's about it!
@joshdaniel7894 Жыл бұрын
@@RatchetWrenches thank you I’m slow lol I don’t know how but I was picturing the wires inside the frame rails lol sorry ignore me
@Doodooheadguy-fishing Жыл бұрын
With everything tucked into the wheel wells, is there any worry about bottoming out and the tires destroying anything?
@RatchetWrenches Жыл бұрын
I'm going to make sure everything is tucked more on the sides versus the top so if I do hit a pot hole it shouldn't hit any of the wire loom or pieces tucked in there!
@969Garage10 ай бұрын
Looks like you have more then enough slack on both sides so you don't have to extend anything . Is the harness still running at top of radiator reinforcement or at the the bottom now ? I tucked my passenger side but it seems a little tight
@RatchetWrenches10 ай бұрын
We did have to extend some wires off the alternator/ fuse box but nothing on the passenger side of the engine luckily! And the harness is still at the top I'd like to try and tuck it more since it sticks out a bit or re route it down underneath like you mentioned

As much work as you guys have been doing, it's time to ditch the flash lights make it easier on yourselves and grab a standing twin head work light(s). Waiting to see the new "turbo 2.0"!
@RatchetWrenches Жыл бұрын
We were using one of those in this video actually what we really need are good quality flood lights and the lightbar that stretches across the engine bay. But thank you! Gonna be one epic build
@garrittpwl Жыл бұрын
While you're in this area with the engine out, you should def fix that strut tower rust. its much worse than it looks. If you tap on it with a ball peen it'll knock holes in your rails
@RatchetWrenches Жыл бұрын
Yessir we actually have it being welded up and fixed as we speak. It’s so bad lol we could push our finger through it with no pressure
