Don't they have it set up with Android Auto or Apple Car Play with Bluetooth? I don't know, neither my Impala or my 15 Prius C as it.

Nope! You always had to connect up a USB cable until wireless finally came along a couple years ago. Wireless AA & ACP actually use WiFi! If I had to guess, I'd say a WiFi connection is more stable than a Bluetooth connection.. 🤷‍♂
