.25 ohm will have the amp's power curve peaking at super low gain. If he turned the amp's gain down I bet it wouldn't have shut down. He's gonna fúck his system up and cost himself so much money. Those subs have great frequency handling though. 👍

@jimmycrackcorn247 It *may* not impact continuity of long term performance but it'll heat up the FETs and Caps which are directly connected so when one fails it creates a cascade failure event. Good amps aren't cheap.

If the lowest impedance the amplifier sees playing music is 1 ohm, then it should be fine, right? You just need enough current to feed it so that your voltage doesn't sag too low. Maybe the amplifier was going into protect due to low voltage?
