Glad to see you working on a mustang. I have 70, 72, and 73 mustangs and they sure look the same as mine. The length may be different but they attach the same. Nice job as usual.

Thank you! And I love 72s, I had one for a short time and it was a good looking car

I just wanted to say how nice a video you did here. There was background music but it wasn't so loud as to be annoying like some do.

Rigid putty knife works great for spot welds, predrill 1/4" then putty knife it. -------- Zinc Weld Through Primer anyplace you have bare metal to prevent future rust.

How did you or did you drill the holes for the body bolts to go back through the shock guards?
@WiredCustomsSpeedShop3 жыл бұрын
Sorry I didn’t put it in the video, I marked the holes after bolting the shock guard back up then drilled the holes

Uhhh..??..no weld thru primer??.. Or is it me??..
@WiredCustomsSpeedShop3 жыл бұрын
No need, I’m going to paint and seam seal everything anyways
@brianarrington45693 жыл бұрын
@@WiredCustomsSpeedShop yeah but bare metal contact is gonna bite your ass ..soon.. You need to do metal prep for rust prevention on all the surfaces before you weld..
@WiredCustomsSpeedShop3 жыл бұрын
@@brianarrington4569 been doing it this way for 15 years, seam seal it and paint it, if it’s something I am going to box in I prime it, if it’s something small like this then it’s fine

@@WiredCustomsSpeedShop question?.. Tell me if im wrong?.. Do you have 2 bare metal surfaces welded together?..or no.. And why do you spray with water?..
@WiredCustomsSpeedShop3 жыл бұрын
@@brianarrington4569 yes they are welded together, exactly like from factory, and I spray with water because I am also a painter, and spraying with oil is a nightmare for a painter

C'mon man!!!.. GET OFF DAT SECRET SQUIRREL §μ¡+.. whats the measurements?.. If you cant count...then my bad.. Otherwise run dem numbers
@WiredCustomsSpeedShop3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha every mustang is a little different and the measurements are never the same, but if you really want to know I wrote them on top of the radiator support and you can see them in the video
