I was saddened by the fact that we can't do the base defense anymore. I really liked defending the truck and the system where you needed to gain points in the region, I really liked. I wish we had the option for either one or the other :[

I agree with you. The base building is not logical now. Pretty much build a wall around yhr furnace or whatever type it is and everything else gets smoked 😂

This update's just wacked. I've been getting hundreds of RLG- 7 missiles and hundreds of GRG- 49 missiles. I have over 1,200 RLG missiles in my box and have already scrapped about 2,000 GRG- 49 missiles. I reduce my weight to about 50 lbs. but am back over 120 lbs. after salvaging just 3- 5 large machines. They spent no time playtesting this mess and they've jacked the camp building process as well. You can't even build a quality wooden wall without the specialized materials. Just building one base will take hours of grind- to say nothing of the grind necessary to produce specialized ammunition. It's as if these guys are college kids who are doing this part time and don't have their hearts in their job.

For the most part you're 100% right on the ammo - except I am getting gobs and gobs of AP 50 cal off of Hunters. Agree the new crafting sucks. Oh - and my Winter event is working. Lots of snowballs.

I kinda understand what you mean with ammo drops, but also.. it is a bit weird. I ran thru the final few missions of the story arc earlier tonight, I had möller, mp5, svd, pvg90 and bazooka as my loadout. 99% of my ammo drops from machines were .32 HP, 762 FMJ, 9mm SMG FMJ, HEDP and .50 AP. Yes all other ammo drops were basic but only 50 cal dropped AP rounds for me. Halfway through the chemical factory I picked up AT WAD and it started raining 9x39 FMJ but again, no AP. But there were also not a single drop of 9mm pistol, 556, 270, 243, 44 or shotgun rounds, none at all, and I kept looting. Twice I had to drop over 3k bullets and 50 HEDP rounds cos I was quick looting stuff and I had way more than what I needed. But if I had kept those bullets I could have salvaged them for explosives, and hunters kept dropping like 40+ steel.. crafting AP ammo takes nothing but explosives and steel. So I came to a really fast conclusion that outside of experimental ammo and a very few special rounds getting more ammo than what you spend is too easy. Tho I should point out that I had scavenger perk maxed, so I found 2x ammo. Not that it matters much when I get 10 times the normal bullets back of what I spend, and I finished the questline with 200 more 50 cal rounds than what I started with.

How does base defence and crafting work with a 4 player coop who gets the recycled items, the uranium is hard to come by. Plenty of snow piles on Himfjall and up North,get to pick up 5 at a time a few times on a snow pile, 20 weighs a 1000.

Base defense has never been a thing for me, I do it on occasion. Now, it costs a kings ransom to put up any walls to protect the drills, furnace, etc, so I probably won't be messing with these at all.

The exclusion zone missions disable the signal relay objective has glitched for me and I can’t even go and do anything else unless I launch myself to the new area

you need to walk around areas that normally don't get snow 🙂, and if you got snowballs activated, there is also fancy event clothing

I honestly don’t see any problems with the “Robots drop only base ammo” stuff. Although this is coming from a person who strictly uses FMJ rounds for everything.

If you carry a 50cal with you you get infinite steel since only AP ammo will drop. Since tge update I've scrapped like 3k AP ammo. Don't need to worry about steel anymore.

Thanks for making this video! I really only dislike the furnace. It's sooo expensive to run for tungsten or uranium - I hate that it consumes 100 hard earned rare resources for an even tinier amount of rare(r) resources just to run the mission at all, and then you have to actually do the wave defense on top of that - it feels a lot more punishing than rewarding, even when you win, lol. (Yes, applies to aluminum as well, but it's not as rare - or at least I have a lot more of it) So I've only done easy and medium base defense because I wasn't sure what would happen if I lost and all the corpses even on medium made it quite chaotic (they need to turn off their collision with other bots) - you're saying we don't lose the outpost if we lose? We just hit repair and it's back for free like if we win? So you can't lose a control point without giving it up? Interesting. I also miss that we don't get the other resources from defense missions - they require base assaults now and those aren't always waiting around for you to pull a lever - they require work (and time) to make spawn, and entrench making cement and uranium a lot rarer - and you gonna need loads of uranium with this new furnace and crafting recipes - I'm definitely waiting for the patch before I do another furnace base defense. I hope they fix the endless spawns too (drawing aggro from everything on the map in a mile wide radius during and after the mission - my base at Tyloveden in the forest region is isolated enough on top of the mountain that it doesn't draw aggro and there is no endless spawns happening there). I like not having to defend the truck too - the chemical factory at the dirt track in farmlands set up in the corner of some shipping containers makes a fun base with about half the walls indestructible.

The new crafting needs to go , it is horrible. Not to be refined , needs to go period. I have put 2k+ hours in this game , and hording stuff that is now useless , no one and i mean no one was asking for this new crafting idea , no sense at all.

Generation Zero have been my "go to" game for the last 6 years, first on PC and recently on PS4. - If they really hold on to that update you're mentioning, the game is dead to me because I can't make it through a Basedefend. - It's too stressfull. I did find the snow and made snowballs...... Since I don't play or invite others to play with me. I didn't know what to do with the snowballs..... But throw them at machines. It does damage to some of the machines..... But not much.

On Xbox here, experimental weapon drop rates is f-ing broken for me I have killed all 4 star level rivals NOT ONE EXP WEAPON I ran multiple level 4 base assaults - 2 exp weapons both old weapons PVG and Dual fire rocket launcher. after that no more dropped Level 3 base defenses - no experimentals Reaper and firebird tyrants Only guarantee drops from that I only received the PVG 10 times. This is BS I just want get The HP5 experimental

To be honest vor me IT feels they making fun ON us. With this Update in my opinion they destroy so much of this Game. Got Bugs i never Had, the aspects you are talking about. When looking Backward IT seems they changed the Game more ans more to Focus ON dlcs to create more Cash. The endsequence ist lousy, would Had been nice to See Machines getting confused even when IT Had No inpact ON the Game. Vor me IT Looks Like IT was glued together, to finallize and end the Game development ON gz. There would have been so much Potential what to do in this Update. Never liked the Rubber looking faces from the npcs, but strolling arround in the wilderness was so immersive i really Loved IT. Watching Machines fight each other, Sometimes Just Take Cover and watched via scope when they fight.

I reached pass level 25 and destroyed level 2 through level 4 Rivals and still can't get any experimental weapons at all. I tried dozens of times and got nothing but 4 and 5 star weapons only....but no experimental weapons so far.

I hate what they did to crafting. They shouldn't have messed with what we already had. They could've added new things for the new resources, and it would've given end-game players a reason to grind. But our crafting now is a joke. New players won't be able to craft any good med kits until end-game now.

I hate the snowballs! Why in gods name would you put a snow mound in the middle of a path? Riding my motor bike and i flip the thing cause i didnt see the snow then it blows up due to tank rockets which sends me into bloody orbit. Hilarious yes but incredibly frustrating when you on the new island finishing off the story and the safe house is on the otherside of the bloody island. DEVS FIX YOUR STUPID MISTAKE! MAKE CRAFTING GREAT AGAIN

It needs more than a hot fix. They need to undo the entire update! Just remove it entirely and put the game back the way it was. The new missions break for no reason, the base assault missions spawn 50+ runners randomly which makes the frame rates so bad you can't do them, the new resources cost more to get than they are worth, the new crafting changes are worthless, and overall the performance is worse than it's been in a long time. Even the new weapons are so bad that they can't redeem the update. Poor choices by the devs and proof they aren't ready to be making a new game. They are moving backwards instead of forwards in their production.
