Hi from NC- Thanks for the simple instructions as bought my wife one for Xmas and for Easter today I said I wanted to do her hair . So here I am learning how to use this machine . Plus my daughter lets me do her hair so she will love it- she’s 16. Thank you for taking the time to show even some of us non female characters how to spend some intimate time together. I just love the way the curls came out...and I am considering buying this product. In regards to the charging time...Before using a Lithium Ion battery charged product for the first time the battery needs to be fully charged. This could take up to 4 hours or more. You should be able to find this info in the instructions. Not fully charging this type of battery for the first time will ultimately cause a fault in the charging level when charging it up again for future use. This is a standard that applies for all types of cordless gadgets with this type of battery. Example: charging 3 hours for the first time instead of the advised 4 will probably only give you 75% battery capacity. When the battery runs dead and you want to recharge the battery again it will only charge to that 75% level. To then charge it for let's say another 20 minutes and using it again till it's dead is really bad for the battery life. Hope this helps when deciding to buy a cordless product.

This isn’t the case for modern lithium ion batteries, it’s a myth that’s stuck around from the old technology of batteries. Your phone and laptop have lithium ion batteries, not a single tech company puts out this advice

@@bluerock1252 oh wow, you're right! I googled it and it has no significant effect on the battery to fully charge it the first time because they make them more stable now. It's crazy how things change so quickly. Makes me feel old.

Yes! I love curling my hair now with this Sulela, since my hair is very straight I set it to 200, if ur hair is really straight like mine, I recommend setting the temperature to 190 or 200, also I recommend using small parts of ur hair to curl it looks really good trust me I will post a video soon

There's a lot of switching to and fro with those buttons. I'm not digitally savvy and that's why I don't use a digital watch either, so couldn't properly grasp what buttons to press and for how long when I scroll through. So Ill just have to try and work it out with some trial and error on the way. I hope I don't accidentally set the temperature too high, or or have it on for too long.

I totally agree on the left or right changeover. Who has that kind of time to sit there and press buttons to make it go the opposite way they definitely should be another button to flip it. That’s a no for me.!!!!

If it's not charging you may have to contact the company, 12 hours should be the max you need to change it. Not days by far. Also, If you have really thick hair like me, you really have to be careful how you hold it. If the curl is going one way, it's better to have the opening either facing your head or away. Also, don't hold it tilted horizontally. I got my hair stuck a couple times man. I think it just takes some getting used to!

It should take around 4 hours. You should see the little battery icon light up when it's charged, and nothing else. If it's on 4 rectangles, then it's fully charged. The instructions say something about using the right voltage, so double-check the problem shooting page in the instructions.
