I just installed and the display is not showing but I’m getting sound and says CarPlay connected on phone.. what can I do to fix it?

It’s been 4 months since you posted so you probably figured it out but you have to reset the unit. The little booklet it comes with has a list of commands. Follow the instructions for the reset and it should work. Otherwise make sure your box is properly configured for the size of the screen.

Nope. Car should be off, but otherwise a straightforward install.
