Hyuandi for the same year has a touch screen and somehow mercedes forgot to add a touch screen. 2017 x5 has wireless carplay and touch screen is included. Long term Benz owner switching to BMW.

Good Morning, Where do you plug the phone? I saw you tutorial and I tried to do it and it did not work. I plugged the phone in the USB port in the glove compartment by the armrest.

Inside the Armrest there is (2) USB port's it's the one on the bottom with the phone and screen icon with a Number 2 labeled. This is for the 2016 GLE. You need to check for location.

Once you are in CarPlay, you can’t get out ...Unless you unplug the phone which is totally lame

ben please please answer!! how do i get my iphone 6 to connect to my CLA 2016? i connected my phone to the charger to the car but nothing pops up so far all i can do is call people and listen to music but i cannot view the map or use any other apps? what do i do is there something i need like an adapter to get it to work or something? id really like to use Waze with this thing

It was introduced in late 2016 Mercedes-Benz models so there is a chance you have a model that was manufactured just before they introduced it.

Android Auto needs to be redone, Apple Carplay looks better but Google Maps >>>>>> Apple Maps
