sick corne build! I'm still waiting on the open merge request for rgb animations to pull the trigger on my next build, overall I'm surprised at the code quality of ZMK and how quickly it became usable. A slight fork of the Dactyl with 3d printed MT3 keycaps is my endgame, make it wireless and I'll probably be set for life save for possibly mcu upgrades for faster polling down the line. Also I'm looking forward to your next sff build as I've also fallen into that hobby as well it seems.

Damm, really nice corne keyboard fully wireless , I have one wired and I love then with home row mods is perfect for my use, someday I will get the courage / time / money to make one wireless myself. Maybe I go with low profile switches for even better portability.

Hi Eiga, great video! Which Mill-Max sockets did you (or Void) use when soldering this? 0305 or 7305 or 3305? (I have the same PCB.)
@thevoidkb
@thevoidkb 10 ай бұрын
hey, we used 0305 Mill Max sockets, which I'm not a fan of; their lip is rather tall and as a consequence the switches will sit only on the hotswap sockets, and not the PCB itself. 3305 should work best, but they are a bit pricier.

@darukutsu
@darukutsu Жыл бұрын
Up to 200$ but depends where you buy somewhere controler costs 50$ somewhere only 25$ so i think it's possible to build without fancy displays for 150$ maybe less. PCB are pretty cheap, switches can be around 20$ keycaps 10$-20$. Cases are expensive in most cases.

It looks like you attached the battery directly to the micro. I found some people complaining about it because this keeps the keyboard on all time and make it prone to accidental key presses while it is in a bag. How was your experience with this configuration?

Great build, a love the attention to detail you put on the videos, how well you describe the build and also usability. +1 subscriber. I'm curious about the print, so when you say this is printed using resin, do you know more about the process? Is it using filament? Or CNC machining? Or a different process.
@antoniomiranda7472
@antoniomiranda7472 10 ай бұрын
Now you know I lack behind 3D printing 😅 So there are resin 3D printers, and that's a thing on it's own. I guess this is what you got.
@EIGAtech
@EIGAtech 10 ай бұрын
Thank you for the sub, really appreciate it! Resin printing is also known as SLA, the print seen here was done at Elecrow. You could even have this print be fully transparent through a chemical post-processing step. You could do it at home with a resin printer, but the process itself is a bit messy and you need to take precautions as there is off-gassing of fumes during the printing/washing/curing steps.
