Wiring Up 14S BMS on 1.0KWh Li-ion Bank - 624

I was in the middle of wiring up my BMS to the 1.0KWh Li-ion Bank.
Was not sure it would be interesting to see me do that but here we go.

I have to say , Of all the videos I've watched about 14s and two wire bms's. This is the most impressive. Yes. you made a few mistakes as I expect to do also. But your video was truly informative! Most people that post try to add 80 percent useless knowledge to make themselves seem smarter than everyone watching and 20 percent of actual useful knowledge. You nailed it man. Thank you so much for the effort and allow me to learn something without all the. "Your're not worthy comments" in the presentation. I wish there was a way to double or triple like this. Thank you! Hello. I think you should use cable for the output of at least 10 mm

Hi Ramon fdez fdez This is a 15A BMS,, and you want me to use 10mm cables that can handle (73A max) ?? all the fuses will blow at 40A-ish and the 6mm I am using will do 53A. I think I am all good. Thank you for watching! :-)

@@MyPlayHouse Hi, I imagine that 6 mm will be enough but something that you have to take into consideration is the drop in voltage that will occur between the output of the battery bank and the load. Anyway, it's just a suggestion. A hug. Sorry for my english i am spanish.

6mm will have under 1% loss with 53A's running,, and I plan to run >10A I have made more videos on this projekt,, might be interesting for you..

I have seen this balancing system in laptop batterys, but its not always obvious what the little pcb is doing, your diagram makes it clear :-D.

Hello, I was wondering if you could give me your suggestion. I have 6 packs of 24-18650 cells in parallel. And I want to build a power bank that can power 12 volt Accessories I also have a 12v 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter. How can I connect all 6 packs together to achieve the 12 volts. Hi mario sellet Thank You very much! I think you would need 4 cells in series to get the the 14.4Volts and then just as many cells in parallel, for more power... you will have the redo the packs, to use the last to or make two more... Thank you for watching! :-)

Xt 60 is for max 60 amp. you sould get xt90 or xt150 connectors instead.

XT60 gets hot if used at high voltage (over 30v at constant 30 amp so 60 amp is out of equation XT60 can take 60amp constant maybe at 12v

Can you recommend 14 lead wire harness and where to purchase for the BMS connector? Two routes to go purchase all the parts to make my own wire harness or just buy the pins, tool for removal of pins and crimping tool.

Can you test if that bms is charging every cell individually regarding the pack voltage? I have a similar 13s bms and it does not charge the whole pack if 1 cell gets to 4.2v faster then the rest and its very anoiyng and frustrating because I can't charge my pack at full capacity

Yeah, all good mate, some time being first is not good, especially when you're in bed with the misses... Then you should always be second. Being First across a mine field, carry on mate, be my guest. Being First in an untested vehicle travelling at 250mph and the braking system has not been fully tested... glad for you to take my place. Yes, being first is not always best policy.
