In this short video we look at a lighting circuit using the 2 plate method and I explain the connections within a one gang 1 way switch. The 2 plate method takes the feed (supply) to the light switch and is often used in installation that have lots of downlights fitted (LED) because it reduces the number of cables at the lighting points..

Nice video gaz. If you wanted to add a feed to another light would you wire in the next live in to the switch or use another wago? I’m tempted to move to this method because if the amount of smart switches that need neutral feeds at the switches.

I have a light switch with the dual three core cable configuration shown in this video. How may I test if the two blue cables in the switch are neutrals, please?

One of them will be neutral one will be switched live, only way to test is against a known live or known neutral
