tweeters in series then parallel to compression driver for a final 4 ohm load to amplifier. make sure to use proper capacitors according to manufacture.

I see some boxes that only have tweeters and mids without the horn.....what does the horn add to the sound?

Horn drivers can play at higher spl, Just like a bullet super tweeters will play louder than a soft dome tweeter. Compression drivers with the proper wave guide are typically use for pro audio applications.

a 4 channel is recommended for optimal performance, it can be used with a 2 channel but is not recommended.

What size capacitors do you use in the tweeters and horns

It depends on your actual products. Manufacture may have recommendations. You must consider ohms, frequency response as well. Search for *crossover capacitor guide/ chart. I think that to a 1 ohm amplifier you can adapt 8 8 ohm speakers and you have no problems, you just have to know how to play with the ohms and that's it 💪💪🔥🔥
