Some made fun of me back in the late eighties when I rolled with my custom "chuchero" sound system. I had acquired a quite huge power supply transformer that was at least 500 to 750VA, from an ancient "decommissioned" 1960's era card punch computer donated from the IRS. So I built myself a big-ass inverter to power my Fisher home receiver w/pair of old school Marantz 3-ways speaker w/12" woofers, of course. I had to remove the back seat of my "79 VW Rabbit to squeeze it all in back there. Damn, I was soooo broke back then, but still I wanted to hear better quality sound than my lousy AM car radio with an FM adapter. It worked out pretty good especially considering I hadn't spent any actual $$ to get it all going since I had recycled all the components required to build it. I had those big aluminum heatsinks and 4 of those early silicon TO-3 type metal pkg. NPN transistors, some 10 watt and 20 Watt resistors and a couple of those giant can type electrolytic filter capacitors. It was so very very old school there wasn't any multiple Farad super-caps - they weren't invented yet, nor any high current, fast switching MOSFETS available back then either. Although it was a fairly simple design it worked quite well. I even got complimented a few times but I also got some laughs too as I rocked and rolled around town. Eventually I needed my back seat, however to take my girlfriend to school and her daughter to daycare so I had to put my backseat in, plus I was missing listening to my music on my stereo at home. I didn't know back then to what extent that car audio industry would one day evolve into - but I knew that I liked it, really loud and clear. 🙂

Here in Norway and Sweden we call them Raggar Plank, they are narrow and wide. Usually placed on top of the subwoofer box facing forwards

You will have to get a converter and hook it up to your factory amp First of all. So that you can connect an amp for the Chuchero box

Aight man, I literally just bought one thanks to u...... so now how do I hook this up? I have two amps, one mono an a 4 channel for my door speakers. Do I have to buy another amp for the chuchero or can I use the 4 channel I already got? Running that on the speaker door lines, or maybe disconnect the two rear speaker doors an have that use those lines???

You can hook it up to your 4 channel if u want. I like running a separate amp for it, So u can tune it better and make it louder
