It's so impressive to make this PF. Normally when you make PF, you can just design a trick and choose where to continue. I would have been surprised if a press forward map didn’t win. By limiting a single input, the outcome is designed around the map itself, which is the fastest possible run. I know this would be more work in post, but maybe a small top-down map (like was shown at the start here) showing the path taken would be nice. Either static or as the run is happening, as this gives more perspective for the routes people have chosen to take. Trying to piece it together with just the commentary from Wirtual and the named checkpoints at the start still make it hard to get the big picture.

9 years ago I came across a video titled "Trackmania 2 Canyon [PF] eXtra Large Map." Didn't know what PF meant, but the track was credited to a "Vossi84." The stunning array of bounces, flips, off angle entries, and near misses left me astounded that anybody could figure out how to drive the map. It would be a few more years before it hit that PF meant all the player had to do was just press forward. That made the map just all that more impressive for me. That somebody could figure how how to design a map to pull that action off. I've watched/loaded a number of PF's since then, but none of them have ever impressed me with the design skill of Vossi84. Till today. When TWO PF maps, almost in a row (that was what, #1 and #4?) made the impossible... possible.

I have a conjecture that all fastest maps are press-forward. The reasoning is that the only way to steer a press-forward car is through clever use of ramps and bounces, which is both faster than making a turn, and eliminates human-induced time loss. So by design press-forward maps are faster than maps in which you have to actively steer.
