Great vid Jason, you got some chunky bits that time. You forgot to try the dam above the dam trick so you can bank up water while classifing and control its release to give you the water you need to sluice. Its my go to trick during the dry season here when the creeks slow up. As for the snow & ice you can have that, I will stick with Tropical North Queensland. My shut down is coming with the wet season, so this year I plan to check out my creek in full wet season flood build a rock crusher and a smelting furnace to add to the gold prospecting toys. Happy hunting

It's so nice having a prospecting buddy! You guys are hardcore! Trying to get as many days out digging before the hard freeze. How you keeping the fingers warm enough? A portable tiny backpackers single burner stove that sits on top of the smaller canisters of gas would be little space and weight in the pack... Just an idea. Careful the brewskis don't freeze!

Jason, I love your channel (you are one of the big reasons I own a bunch of gold pans and have found some river gold in the lower peninsula!) and I just moved to the Upper Peninsula, by the Keweenaw Peninsula. The question I have for you is, how do you suggest I go about finding good gold spots? I spent a long time today driving around looking at creeks, and I can continue to do just that, but I was curious as to whether you had any secrets for finding good remote spots? Bad Luck has plagued me. Until one morning I set my alarm to go off at 9 and it went off at 5. I had 5 cups of coffee and caught a bus, the only seat left was in row number 5. I got off at 5'th and Broadway at the five lucky horse shoe saloon and had 5 PBR's. Went out and hailed a cab, I didn't tell the driver gate to go in he drove right into gate number 5.
