The evidence is right there than having a low citadel doesnt make you immune to getting citadeled and yet pq keeps saying thats the case. My best guess is that shels are coming in at an angle and over matching the roof of the citadel, since iirc its quite thin.

The citadel sits underwater so it's extremely unlikely for it to eat cits. Thing is, PQ mistakes tons of pen damage for citadel damage as shown in his previous video on this ship where he healed more than half of the damage he took and still thought he ate cits.

@@somebody700 - In the previous bid when he got nailed by the Shikishima he only had 26.5K HP and took hits simultaneously from Hindy. I don't care who you are, if you give broadside to 20" it's going to hurt. I think it was just reasonable pen damage for those big ass shells.

I think you have very unrealistic expectations of battleships where your metrics don't really make any battleship more than average. The consistency you speak of does not exist in ANY battleship, and the issue with expecting that consistency is that when you don't get it you start getting tilted which will negatively impact your performance and ability to make good shots, and that causes even more tilt which eventually makes the ship perform badly. Having a positive attitude will likely help but I am not going to backseat you on that because I am not one to say this at all given I quit the game specifically for these reasons. I feel you brother.

Not sure if he's called the ship mediocre for the clickbait or he was serious The dude just have straight up unrealistic expectations about BB artillery, at the end of the day it's still a battleship so RNG is still play a big factor to where the shells land no matter how good the sigma and dispersion the BB have, from the video he was chunking 15k and farming citadels left and right, the dispersion seem very tight and landed where he aimed and still concluded that the ship is mediocre because it can't devstriked a ship and only get citadels like wtf ?? It's like he's expected to straight up devstriked full health delete every broadside ships that he see which is an unrealistic expectation from him, not even Slava can do it constantly. he's complaining about not able to devstriked broadside ships is like cruiser player complain about not getting fire from every HE shell they hit. it's all RNG and it's a balance factor for every class, you don't want BB to have pinpoint laser accuracy every salvos, you don't want cruiser to set fire every salvos, you don't want DD torps to flood every time it hit something. I have yet to see what he's considered an above average BB, even ships that he considered to have accurate guns like Vincent, Ohio, Bungo, Georgia still have wonky accuracy from time to time, heck Stalingrad with the same battlecruiser dispersion and 2.65 sigma still have wonky dispersion and can't dev strike ships consistently, so I don’t know what he’s yapping about

@@faynk.6247 Yeah the game is really built around RNG which for me is the reason I stopped playing. I hate RNG-based mechanics and I like more consistent gameplay rules where doing one thing yields certain results, and WoWs is just not that type of a game at all. This is why I stopped playing it altogether. And this is also why this game never took off in the e-sports area. Pro-level gaming requires a lot of consistency that allows players to improve their skills in a predictable manner. WoWs tournaments on the highest levels have a lot impacted by RNG which is a terrible environment for professional gamers. Basically, you can do everything right and get absolutely no results for taking the time and effort to do it that way. PQ played this game on the highest level for too long and like every pro he suffers from frustration regarding the inconsistency of the game. There's a reason most pros in this game quit, and it is this reason. For PQ, the game is also content that he makes money from, so it's like a toxic relationship. I truly understand his frustration, I have the luxury to move on because I never invested as much as he did in this game and it's enough for me to watch others play and enjoy their content. He spent thousands of hours on this game and put a lot of effort into it.

That's the thing, this BB's whole gimmick and why it's tier 10 is it's accuracy and consistency, the fact that it didn't live up to expectation is what makes it mediocre, its just an Iowa with a slightly better chance of getting a good salvo, Tier 10 is too high of a tier for her.

I always cry a little inside when you expect every battleship in the game to have that kind of consistency and call it average. I mained German BBs for a long, long time. I lived in the RNG land being happy when 3 out of 8 shells landed. Then I grinded the Japan line and American line to Vermont. Holy fuck are those ships ACCURATE by comparison. This ship? Looks like a sniper railgun that has tons of AA, good speed, pretty good conceal and decent survivability. If I didn't know what it's like outside the German line I'd call it straight up OP

Bourgogne is considered one of the the better premium ship due to its reload booster and speed boost. This ship has bigger guns, better accuracy, unlimited reload booster, better repair. It’s going to be great.

it'll probably be good, but don't forget that Burger has 12 guns. A large shell volume can compensate for a lot of weaknesses.

St Vincent has disappoint me multiple times with her shells going nowhere when needed. To me, people are overestimating Vincent and putting her on level with Thunderer when the latter is more easy & consistent to use.

I think PQ doesnt know what plunging fire is or that you can have an underwater citadel and still have your citadel hit by longer range BB shells that come through the upper deck into the citadel. He acts like thats not possible.

The fundamental problem is that RNG as a balancing mechanic sucks. It's like bloom in FPS. It's intended to reduce skill gap by making good players with good aim miss more often, and conversely allow players that have bad aim still manage to get hits. It creates situations where you get rewarded at random instead of playing well, and makes it harder to understand situations where you loss because mistakes get punished randomly. Overmatch is the other problem -- instead of re-vamping BB balance to address the dispersion RNG, WG introduces more Overmatch to make those much reduced successful hits have more impact. So now we're in the situation where there are a shit-ton of BBs with overmatch that, if given better dispersion, would be an absolute problem. So yeah, the balance is fucked. Nothing will satisfy BB players because playing a BB is basically means you're just controlling a floating slot machine. If you like gambling, BBs are for you. For everyone else, you just have to play a different class. Or a different game.

@@blackraen Dispersion RNG is a basic necessity in the game, otherwise cruisers and DDs have actually no way to deal with BBs, even without overmatch in play because you can just zero in on the bow/stern and just fuck up the cruiser anyways. Dispersion RNG certainly sucks sometimes, just like Fire RNG and torp dispersion RNG. Its a basic mechanic in the game and its not even that horrible considering WoT exists. If you're missing a lot with a BB, you have options with better base accuracy. And with new BB designs lately, you start seeing lesser downsides compared to older BBs, just the very fact that Bungo has a funny spotter that reduces dispersion is already something that puts some level of control on that RNG. Meanwhile stuff like Lauria/Vincent have such insane conceal, speed and even reload that they can close in and get out if they really feel the need to. Also a point to note that if you make things laser accurate, you get stuff like Ragnar which can point and click on specific parts of a ship. The problem with the game is that we've reached a breaking point where overmatch ruins the fun for everything and BBs can only get weirdly OP features to make them interesting (i.e SAP, conceal, speed, turret traverse, F keys that boost survivability). You just can't release a Monty line nowadays and gain some hype behind it.

I think part of the issue with your citadel stuff is that you seem to think that a citadel underwater instantly makes the ship invulnerable to it, but in actuality, there is no water inside of the ship itself, if you hit the ship with enough angle to punch the main armor belt and rip through that citadel roof with any shell that can overmatch it, you're gonna take a big hit regardless of whether you like it or not. Citadelling Illinois or Wisconsin for me was as easy as using Montana and shooting a section of their armor belt between water line and deck-level from about 15-18kms. They're not invulnerable, never will be, and plus your consistency doesn't need to come from the citadel hits either, I managed to hit 200k damage with just punching people in the superstructure through the abuse of the Wisconsin's excessively strong accuracy for a BB at tier X, not a single citadel

I'm confused why you think the citadel should be immune, yes its low but from what I can tell in port the Iowa has an almost identical armor layout, aside from 32mm torpedo belt instead of Wisconsin 38mm. Iowa has never been difficult to citadel, so it seems to be this should have been expected for Wisconsin as well...

Wisconsin citadel is submerged. Iowa is waterline. Doesn't make a lot of difference from range but at close quarters it really matters.

I'm going to put my tin foil hat on and say that these more accurate ships are showing up the weaknesses of the game engine and coding. The ships that are supposed to be extremely accurate just don't seem to be. Aim bugs, server issues and general coding showing themselves. I'm tired of how many times shells fall way too short and shotgun dispersion on ships that are famous for having railguns. There's far too much RNG in this game.

That is EXACTLY the problem; if the most inconsistent and bugged game mechanic is where your advantage lies, that means you're having your advantage "stolen" from you while ships that hinge on non-bugged mechanics like speed, rate of fire, insane alpha damage, radar, etc. never have their advantage stolen.

@@brianhum8765 Don't forget, that the engine couldn't handle high rate of fire for some time. So ships with a sub 2 second reload basically were not being counted for half the shots or more.

Was watching the reload timer when you were using the booster and when the booster timer ran out, the reload timer added about 6 or so seconds to its clock and then started counting down again. Shouldn't it just keep ticking down from where it was when the booster expired? What's this adding time to the clock business?

Same heal and guns as Montana, worse shell velocity, better sigma, better horizontal dispersion, worse vertical dispersion, better armor, better speed,F key (cooldown and reload buff), and worse HP. Slava bow is 25mm that gets overmatched whilst whiskey has 32mm

Wisconsin's much better. Better armor, higher damage shells, faster, better AA, more consistent accuracy. Slava's one gimmick is being able to citadel flat broadside ships at range. It's useless in ever other scenario

The kiting angle of Whiskey's B turret should be the same as Mo and Iowa. They're all the same class of ship. If it's not then WG needs to fix it.

so... either rng was against (on computers it comes in batches, with the odd good rng speckled lightly sometimes for technical reasons) or there is a bug wargaming missed with it. can you narrow down why wisconsin isnt performing as you expected from the paper? or is it supposed to be an american version of british HE BB?

They can’t do that because multiple captain skills function around the lock on. Incoming fire, priority target, dazzle…..plus then they couldn’t manipulate the salvos the way they are now

As we all know anything that is considered less than their greedy claws expect aka 70 bucks for a t9 its purpose is light farming early entry to tiers up and free capt xp for those already there :) plus if the targets are fully modded /angled dispersion is going to come into play. Most el cheapos are usually polished turds.... does it have enhanced credits and reduced repairs ?

That defence was reversing, that's why you missed. I think expecting just a little too much. St. Vin is most definitely OP so I wouldn't try to compare Wisky to that. Wisky herself seems actually fairly balanced as far as premium T10's go. She seems to have the playstyle the OG USN fast bb's had back in like 2017-2019 where you stealth up, run up on somebody, dunk on them, and then kite back to the midline and shit on people from there or reach out and touch them at range, or you can brawl in a pinch, but you're not the best at it. Wisky has the funny button so she's able to keep up more there where Iowa and Mo couldn't. If played with the perfect amount of restraint versus aggression, I think she'd be very potent.

Personal early feeling is welcome as it's new ship, so no one should expect from you have so accurate evaluation from long term experience play her. Even if you make mistake in rating the ship, time will tell. Anyway when such new premium ship gets into matches it should reveal its pros after couple of battles. I believe that any ship with some gimmicks (mainly these combat instructions can tempt players to fill them even under circumstances that are not favorable to survivability and they die early. -> It is big dilemma of proper moment for push with secondaries built BBs too (maybe now talks just my lack of good skills). 👉👉👉 But speaking to your results, the ship looks just right for cheap or even free premium. Seeing your upto 268K😊 dmg match can make me little envy, but it fits skills, devotion to the game and time spent ingame. To be fair : How many times you can reach one result of 300K in just few matches?🤷🏼‍♀️ Wisconsin results seem just nice promise even reduced when handled by every normal Joe "or George"😅. When i saw your games, well.. i can't put this ship in "average" tier. When generally people put republique/conqueror/kremlin in average, this ship seems to be above the latter. Wisconsin is just between the battlecruiser and the battleship, like a Bourguogne with a far better AA and permanent reload booster.

Why do people keep calling it an American Slava. The only thing similar about Slava and Whiskey is the nine 406mm guns at tier 10 that's it. Whiskey seems to play a more of a mid range, flank & spank kind of playstyle compared to a stationary specialized long range sniping only of Slava

Watch Malta often, +1 on worth watching. It's just a fact that ships need to fit players style. I do awesome in ships that most don't, and not that great in ships that most find very powerful. I know I'm really looking forward to picking this ship up.

WG have been messing around with RNG dispersion, point blank thunderer 18 AP in into a broadside Kremlin at 5 km no damge and des moines 3 km only 5k damage , St vincent firing HE at petro 5 slavos at 12 km shells land all around the target , can't even get fires in st vincent. This is getting a sick joke.

At the end of the day sigma and accuracy can’t be your only strengths because RNG will be RNG. Your 2.0 battle cruiser dispersion can let you down and a BB with 1.5 sigma can land triple citadels in the same situation. Still a nice ship though.

The ship have amazing dispersion, its show more the bad aims, a lot of the "cmom" of pq in this is just bad aim

It's the bad game coding making any ship that hinges on a bugged game mechanic effectively worse than ones that hinge on a non-bugged mechanic because their power gets stolen by the game engine way more often; accuracy is obviously as bugged as any game mechanic while ships that hinge on elite speed, radar/great smokes, rate of fire, raw alpha damage, amazing heals, etc. rarely or literally never lose their power to game bugs (Bourgogne ALWAYS can outflank as well as any big ship because to my knowledge there are no speed related bugs in the game). Part of what makes the most OP ships in the game that OP is they don't get their gimmicks stolen by game coding bugs. Still a crazy good deal by dockyard standards though between lower cost + the good W Virginia '44. Obviously ships also look worse when one of their alternatives is super powerful so Montana makes it look worse.

You explained the concept of the consumable reload but i dont think you realize how important the consumable reload is. You are running fire prevention on a ship that gets extended DCP with a reload boost just like san martin. If you could would you run fire prevention on a san martin? I think you are too concerned with the main battery reload boost and youre not understanding just quite how powerful the consumable boost actually is. Fire prevention on a ship that can be immune to fires for up to a 1 minute? Fire prevention on a ship that can heal close to 40k HP in that same minute of Fire immunity? Uhhh super heal with fire immunity?

I do like Wisconsin. It isn’t a horrible T10 ship. Heck, I like her dispersion alot. Quite reminds me of Yamato, heck even better. But that doesn’t bugs me much. If I hate Wisconsin Dispersion I’ll never play Yamato at all. Sure, Yamato has 46cm instead of 40.6cm but, I love both Iowa class and Yamato Class. This is like argument on Musashi vs Yamato again. Wisconsin is a better Iowa but worse Monty. I’m not complaining. She might be quite bad for a Battleship. But for the role of her sigma and dispersion. She is the best Tier X Battlecruiser. Why? She doesn’t immediately combust when nose in.

Im looking forward to this ship But Im not going to buy this ship out right If WG screws us over and we don get 2000 steel doing the dockyard missions , besides screwing up again with less steel during the battle passes dam near 1000 steel. WG has gone cheap with the rewards , even daily crates hardly get tribble coals any more and doubles are getting harder to come by.......WG can kiss my...........
