Lucas and I headed out fishing the same spot as this video a year ago: • Wisconsin Steelhead in... It was a fun day along the stream bed and we were able to pull a few out. Both fish were safely released.

The run of that first fish was incredible - so fresh and fast. There can be slow days but it's all worth it for fish like these. I like to get out in the winter when I have the whole river to myself.

It's insane that some of those fish hang out in that skinny water! I've some serious respect for you guys who smoke these fish because they aren't easy to catch. Sweet vid, Dave!

Gonna try again later today. Hopefully it's not too flooded.

You doing river guides? Is this in Sheboygan or close to it?
@PlayinHookySportfishing2 жыл бұрын
I do not do River guiding. Send me a text via Facebook or Instagram and I can make a recommendation.

You shouldn't be walking down the middle of the river. You're ruining the redds previous fish have spawned in . your killing fish.
@PlayinHookySportfishing3 жыл бұрын
LOL. We didn't step in any redds. Thanks for watching man!

Looks like oak creek or maybe pike river
@PlayinHookySportfishing2 жыл бұрын
I’m guessing it probably looks like a lot of places.
@isayoldchap1 Жыл бұрын
Doesn't look like Oak Creek. Too much open land around it. Anyway, most of these tributaries have steelhead. Open up Google maps and get exploring. Look for deeper holes and use stealth.

I gotta find a creek like this
@PlayinHookySportfishing4 жыл бұрын
There are a lot more than you think. Find a tributary going into Lake Michigan and fish it!
@justincristallo20814 жыл бұрын
I’ve been trying haha, the only creek I’ve found with fish in it runs through a popular fishing town.

I need to get some waders so I can start trying my hand at some steelhead

In most spots all you need is just a pair of hiking boots.
