this speech really hits me as a creator myself. im a young artist that wants to make comics of all sorts. the amount of times people think of me as foolish for wanting an art career is quite a lot. i may have only started to get into stans works 4 or so months but i wish i had appreciated his stuff sooner. he is an angel of a man and i hope he is having the time of his life with his characters up in the sky. R.I.P stan, we miss you

Spiderman was a genius idea. The fact that he has personal problems and isn't perfect makes him relatable and the fact that he is so unique from any hero or villain created before or after him is what makes him even better

That was Stan Lees genius really. All his better characters had troubles. The X-Men where an analogy for the struggles the jewish and black community where facing in the civil rights era and earlier. The Hulk's Bruce Banner was deeply troubled and on the run from his alter ego, Dr Strange was about a man having to reinvent himself after falling from the heights of fame and accomplishment, and so on.

@@APXSTUDIO I can't draw and I'm too poor to hire an artist. When I say I can't draw I literally can't. My hands are too shaky and my ADHD makes my hands shake more..I do have a 300 page summary of part 1 of the Manga I'm writing which is making its way to be an anthology series (part one being its own story that's already fully written just got to get to writing the MASSIVE script, seriously the summary is like bare bones of what happens in it, the plot line is like a goddamn rollercoaster from some dimension where the concept of physics doesn't exist. The story is inspired from Berserk, Vinland saga, And some other stuff, the story it self has a whole world of lore already written, a beastiary for me, a whole fantasy world, and a shit ton of moving parts. Part 2 takes place on the same dark fantasy world but now through the eyes of someone who goes deeper and deeper into insanity until he convinces himself that the Mad god chose him to kill the other gods of the world before a God war happens. And a bunch of other comics focused on Superhero stuff, and then a different spread focusing on a varity of philosophical ideas of Identity, The Idea of a human, what makes a world, what moves us specifically as humans, and plenty more. Basically All these scripts are done but no artist. The franchise im trying to start is called Cage Comics (could change, not really liking the name) Long reply but when you've been sitting on this stuff for four years you kinda get pent up with it...

Even I wanted to make comics but my drawing is bad plus I don't wanna use my parents money only my earned money which is yet to come from my game.

I'm an aspiring comic writer. I have characters and a universe I'm in the process of building, sometimes i think, "i don't know, comic books are such an oversaturated industry, and I'm never going to be able to compete with marvel or DC," whenever i have that thought, i remember this speech. And remember that I'm that idiot trying to talk myself out of doing something i believe in. Stan Lee was and still is such an inspiration, and i wish from the bottom of my heart that i was able to meet him. He is my hero.

I once wanted to created my own Superhero world. I started with small concepts that grew into hundreds of characters and storylines that may or may not ever exist outside my head. I avoided one in particular... I wanted to create a Spider themed hero named Atrax. Named after the genus of funnel web spiders (the world's deadliest). I told myself..."You can't do that. That would be copyright hell. Marvel would sue if you did. Even if you did get away with it, you'd be compared to spider-man! You could never live up to it." I told myself there are many heroes with fire abilities and similar powers but bat or spider powers always seemed off limits. After hearing this speech though... After meeting him in real life back in Dallas. After his sad departure from us... I decided to push through. Peter Parker was always inspired by Uncle Ben's words "With great power, comes great responsibility!". Well in honor of Stan Lee, Atrax will be inspired by a "Fictional" writer in my universe that he looks up to named Stanlee Parker ...he will say "If you have an idea, that you genuinely think is good, don't let some idiot talk you out of it!". Thank you Stan! I will never get your level of success but I will create my comic as a simple tribute to you. You were my idol.

He inspired millions, including myself! We usually think of superheroes as heroes with inhuman abilities, so they can seem hard to relate to, but if we think about it, they are more than that, they inspire us in so many ways, they teach us how to become better, how to keep fighting when life gets hard and remind us to never give up! Him and Bob Kane are my heroes.

Holy crap, seriously... I randomly saw a little clip of stan in an interview saying something about spiderman and so it gave me the idea to search videos of Stan talking about how it actually got started, thats what led me here. Spiderman isnt even my particular favorite hero either, hes somewhere in my top 15 i guess for superheros specifically. What I did NOT expect was to hear Stan Lee drop 5 minutes of wisdom and manage to leave me with ACTUAL goosebumps. Its like I was living through the whole scenario in his shoes myself, that kind of super immersive story, but he told it like a campfire story. Im having trouble grasping exactly what happened there.

Thank you for opening new doors and new worlds into hero's we can love, learn from and aspire to role model, just like the role model you are to us Stan, so pleased you got to live the way you chose and didn't listen to the idiots you had to work with, you made your own world dispute their attitude and mindset towards you. He inspired me to study what I really wanted for a long time. I wasted 5 years more or less of my life studying 📖 on something that it wasn’t for me because people thought me in to it but one day I realized what i have done and then i saw this video of Stan and then i decided to study and become what i really truly wanted and now am determined and am going to brake my limits and do what a want and for that i say thank you Stan Lee you may be gone but you continue to inspire the world.

I came here because I was devastated by people loving The Boys. But I never give up, I leave those people helpless and endlessly look for other kids like me. Stan, if you could see me now, you'll be proud of what kind of real-life superhero I am.
