Here in the USA these prescriptions require a prescription also. This does not circumvent a prescription, but allows you to get one from their doctors for emergency situations.

You can’t get antibiotics in advance unless you just stock pile prescriptions that were written for you, and you didn’t take. Antibiotics are not like over the counter drugs that you take for symptoms. Antibiotics are developed for specific infections. They are not interchangeable. The idea of stockpiling and using the wrong med for your self-diagnosed infection is Dangerous, and a major cause of super-bugs which are resistant to antibiotics. And some antibiotics become dangerous to ingest after their expiration date. I commend you on having emergency kits, but antibiotics shouldn’t be on the list unless you are sure of what you are doing.

Actually, it is common practice for doctors to write prescriptions for emergency situations. One of the most common situations is when someone is travelling and may not have access to medications. That being said I agree with a lot of your comments as is indicated in our video.

@@WisdomPreserved , if a doctor is prescribing for specific antibiotic for specific bacterial infection, that’s fine. But you can’t stockpile antibiotics and just take a ‘broad spectrum antibiotic ‘ when you get the sniffles. If it’s a virus, antibiotics will do more harm and zero help.

Reading the comments I can see that there are a lot of people that feel their doctor will not prescribe these medications for them. I too thought the same and was skeptical . When in fact, doctors are very used to prescribing antibiotics for future/ possible treatment . We’ve gone to several countries, Thailand, Myanmar, China, Russia etc.We’ve received scripts for possible travel and exposure conditions . More often than not we didn’t need it -but kept it for years and the meds still worked when needed for their specific treatment.

Wow you two, I really learn a lot from you. I never thought about getting medicine for emergencies. I guess it makes sense. This covid scare really makes you realize how hard it may be to get into a doctor. My sister had to wait almost a year for a surgery she needed because they kept saying they weren't allowed to do anything except life-essential surgeries. Her's was a shoulder surgery.

My medical providers are all 'tele-health' now, thanks to the pandemic. After switching insurance, I chose new providers with that in mind. Really saves time & gas.

It isn’t too difficult you just go on their website (We have a link below the video.) and fill out some information for a doctor to review. If they have any questions they get in touch with you. Then they write the prescription and you are good to go. They cost around $260 for the case of 5 antibiotics.
