This is Pearl Street in Anderson, IN. A residential street that for most of its length can be only one lane wide not counting the two lanes occupied by parked cars.
This crossing was once a very busy place with several tracks running through it. The line coming up from the south once traveled all the way to New Castle and connected to the popular Norfolk Southern line there. Now it is only a branch between CSX track one and two. NS regularly uses it to get back and forth to the Avon Yard west of Indianapolis.
CSX mostly uses this branch to get to what amounts to a spur up north off the NS line to pick up and drop off grain cars to a local elevator.
The local train out of Lapel (coming soon) also uses this branch to access South Anderson Yard.
The main line is a hot track for CSX connecting several states and is used regularly.
